  1. Thanks Michael Latency ...Thats something else that didnt cross my mind, and looking at the specs of Bluetooth active monitors, the one above on Amazon says it's a BT receiver, which i assume is the same as "input only " like the Stagepas, so that option appears to be scuppered even before latency reared it's ugly head I think i'm just going to get a small powered monitor and forget wireless of any kind, especially as i didnt want in ears to start with, because i tried IEMs and i didnt get on with them. Just dont like stuff in my shell likes
  2. What about if i cabled an active Bluetooth monitor to our Stagepas monitor out, and then used BT earbuds to get audio from the active monitor ? It doesnt have to be the one on Amazon... just thinking if this would work
  3. Thats not my model, ( mine is the 1k ) but no doubt the 1k stagepass are the same as the above 600 with regards to BT. I have to think around the problem.
  4. Ouch, thanks jay and michael. It never even crossed my mind that the Stagepas are BT input only. Could have wasted nearly 100 squid on earbuds 🤓
  5. Yes, that was the problem. It would turn off temporarily then re-activate itself. It was driving many people nuts.
  6. I looked at those, but the amount of people that have moaned about the " speak to chat " thingy put me off. So i'm currently looking at the Sony WF-C700N which doesn't have that feature. My only problem is how to pair any Bluetooth earbuds to our Yamaha Stagepas 1k PA, since you cant see a menu
  7. I'm having trouble finding quality bluetooth earbuds without a mic. I dont need a mic, but it seems most come with one. Anybody found any ?
  8. Mad as a bucket of toads Andy scored a pedal from moi. A faultless transaction all round. 10/10
  9. Check Bowie at the BBC , 2000. It's an absolute corker. Utterly massive sound under headphones, and watching Gail Ann Dorsey swap her bass for a guitar, and Mark Plati covering the bass on Ashes to Ashes was neat

  16. BOSS LMB-3 in great condition. Giving up my whole pedal board for lighter travel. Other pedals for sale. Original box / blurb Postage included Review from that pedal tester on Talkbass Boss LMB-3: This workhorse classic from Boss gets overlooked far too often. Sometimes because it's a Boss, and sometimes because it says "Limiter" in the name. In reality it is one of the most reliable and versatile compressors in its price range. The first thing to clear up is the "limiter" label. A limiter is just a compressor with a very high ratio, and usually with the threshold set high so only the taller peaks are affected. The LMB-3 can be used that way, but its ratio can be adjusted anywhere from 1:1 (a clean uncompressed boost) through light to medium smoothing and squeezing (e.g. 2:1 to 8:1), all the way up to infinity:1 hard peak limiting. So it actually covers a much wider range of dynamic response than most pedals labeled "compressor". And the threshold knob covers a decent range, allowing it to affect just as much of your signal as you want. The predecessor of this pedal, the LM-2B, was more accurately called a limiter due to having a fixed very high ratio. The tone of this pedal is very clean and dry. It's not a "fattening" effect, aside from the inherent results of compression. Boss sometimes gets a bad rap for its buffered bypass switching, in this case there is no problem--the bypass is transparent, unity gain, with perfectly flat frequency response. The fact is it sounds pretty good and does its job like a champ, and you can find one used for very cheap any day of the week, so it's a great value. It's also hard to find any other pedal in this price range that works so well as a peak limiter, for aggro playing, slapping, or peaks from an envelope filter. I would not hesitate to use one on a pro gig, as long as the inherent EQ shaping is suitable.
  17. Only 6 choices left of the 27 SEI basses on the BG site. Could be someone here .. Good job i didnt see that Flamboyant 4 that has SOLD on it.
