  1. Not my bass Bloke. When i saw the photo of the P pickup Cutlass, which i didnt know existed, i had to check because i thought they had an MM pickup, and just found a photo to post That ebay sale is how i remebered a Cutlass. Nice looking axe, too
  2. Cimar on Ebay with the rounded end pickups and horrid bridge and big 'bell' chrome truss rod cover https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/70s-CIMAR-by-IBANEZ-JB-BASS-made-in-JAPAN/174315907073?hash=item289609a801:g:C9IAAOSwHqddAtWs
  3. Yup, its been done. They're just a big yawn now
  4. I got confused ( easily done i must say ) but i thought the Cutlass had an MM pickup, and Carbon neck, so swiftly hit the big G button and found that the MM pickup Cutlass is, i guess, a series 1 and so is yours called a series 2 ??
  5. Oh, yes. Charles Summerfield Ltd. I couldnt swear on a holy book, but i think mine was CSL or Cimar
  6. I guess he thinks he's being well funny, but i'm afraid he just looks like a massive cok. These "look at my hilarious auctions " has been done to death , so he's too late to the party Bass looks like it washed up on a beach.
  7. When you buy or sell on Ebay, treat everyone as the lowest common demoninator. You wont get any surprises that way. After 18 years with an Ebay account, i think i've found all of them I wouldnt have put a pic of the cab along with the case just because of the hard of thinking that prowl Ebay. And you found one. Lesson learned though.
  8. Does the rounded ends of the pickups narrow the possiblities a bit. ? I remember about 15 years ago i bought one of the MIJ copies ( or Korean, who knows ) and the J pickups had the curved / rounded / radiused corners. Could have been Cimar / CSl / et al
  9. Mainly index and middle, but sometimes ring finger creeps in depending on the song
  10. Thanks, yes they do look brill
  11. Could be just a smaller than normal bass
  12. None of his gallery photos work.
  13. I like that. It reminds , a little bit , of a Gibson
  14. Never seen a GS bass, but their guitars are fab, as doggy in the house mentioned
  15. Wilkes http://wilkesguitars.co.uk/gallery/ Sei https://thebassgallery.com/collections/bass?_=pf&pf_v_manufacturer=Sei Bass

  17. Jeeeeeeeez Cheeky bar stewards. No wonder he's pizzed
  18. If its the same as this one below, seems to have been around awhile. Licensed by Phillip Kubicki ... is that bit real ? https://reverb.com/ca/item/4051568-blaster-licensed-by-philip-kubicki-blaster-bass
  19. Nope. I think this is just more showboating like guitarists shredding. But i'm a bit of an old school luddite and my opinion has no bearing on something thats personal. Slap / Shred / Tap ... foxtrot oscar, but i'm asbo lootley fine with others mastering these techniques, if they love this stuff. It just leaves me cold and i switch off
  20. Yup, he come over with his dad at some point back in the day, dad went home and Aaron stayed. I definately dont call Aaron's pickups KA's. Even more so because i've spoken to Aaron, i doubt he would be impressed if i talked to him about his KA pickups
  21. Not a UK builder though AFAIK
  22. Son of Kent Armstrong, Aaron, who lives in the UK , is also an excellent pickup builder. I've got a pair of his Aria Pro ll SB900's built to original spec in my SB900. Plus a custom Aaron job fitted into a bass that Andy built
