Fender Precision USA standard 5 string for trade [WITHDRAWN]

This is a lovely bass, and I'm tempted to keep it, but I would really like a 4 string jazz and this is sitting around largely unused. I bought it a year ago, used, the previous owner had put a few marks on it, nothing major at all but it's the usual gigging wear you'd expect - more detail on this to follow with better photos. Excellent low B, up there with the best of them, I've owned quite a few. Light weight, don't have scales but it's pretty light. Low action, it's got a 2 week old set of roto steels 45-105/130 on there currently Original case included. I'm after trading this for a 4 string jazz of some description, and I may have a few quid to add for the right instrument. I'm particularly interested in: MIJ/MIA fender jazz '75 reissue MIJ/MIA fender jazz '62 reissue MIA fender jazz 4 Lakland osborn 4 - or whatever the current equivalent is Sadowsky metro 4 - depending on location and price, might be able to stretch this far Better photos to follow: Info here: http://www.fender.co...rtno=0190560700 I'm based in Brighton

Played one a couple of times, highly recommended - odd they've used a jazz width nut on a wider neck, but doesn't negatively affect playability I'd love a black one too

I need to shift my Ampeg BA115, I've been told it's in the Christmas Tree's spot so it's got to go before early December Sounds really excellent, I've disconnected the tweeter - it's a simple task to reconnect (just a spade connector, no soldering) if desired. I've been using it as a practice amp and for a couple of smaller gigs, but it's not getting enough use to warrant keeping it. In good condition, a few scuffs and a couple of very small rips to the tolex. Bought a bass with one of these included, I don't use hard cases so am looking to shift it on. One of these: http://www.hiscoxcases.com/standardguitar_hiscox.htm#stdebs It can't have left the house of the previous owner until I bought it, don't think there's a mark on it, pretty much as new condition. These are £75-80 new - I'm after £50 ono collected from Brighton Russ

When I'm trying to work out a recorded bass tone I'm considering the technique, pickup type / placement and amp settings, not whether or not the bass they're playing is made from ash or alder. I can tell a jazz bass, a precision, a stingray a mile off...I'm certain most of you can too, but tell me what the fingerboard of said bass is made of. I'm certain wood makes a difference, but it's one of the more minute variables that only really matter to the person playing the bass, law of diminishing returns, you've got a plank that's properly cut and bolted/glued together then I believe you've already got 90% of what's achievable. Bought an Owen gremlin pedal off of Joe, Perfect easy transaction, cheers matey! R

Looking to trade my Pork Loin for one of the following. It's truly excellent with bass but I picked up an Owen Gremlin off here a couple of weeks ago and it covers everything I've been using the loin for, but does it slightly better to my ears. If you're after a great low-med gain overdrive with a clean mix and a few other options - this is your pedal. I'd really like a gated fuzz, but a decent higher gain overdrive would be great also. Big John Hairy Balls CoPilot FX Orbit Aguilar Agro pedal Catalinbread SFT Otherwise, I paid £90 about 9 months ago, which I'd like back ONO - I'll include shipping to mainland uk Cheers! Russ

Sold this amp today - I just didn't find it quite loud enough. Pub gigs - small to medium, with a decent cab would be fine as long as you like your overdrive. The Orange terror I've just replaced it with is excellent, and sounds extra awesome with a VT bass pedal in front - although still not quite as good as the V4B.
Thanks, I didn't know there was someone else form the forum playing The Haunt gig too, I'd have said hello otherwise.... Nice set yours too and that white 5 P bass looks great! Not sure how accurate my bathroom scale is, I've just weighted the bass and it's under 10 pounds a bit lighter than another '78 Jazz I have at home if that helps....I don't find it too heavy to be honest, perhaps Phsycoandy can give us a more exact weight.
Yeah likewise, only twigged it was you when I saw this ad - really enjoyed your set, great tone out front too. That Precision 5 is beefy as hell, the low B is excellent too. I need to check over my finances and have got to shift my Ampeg v4bh before I can do anything, but I'll get in contact soon. Cheers matey ;D R
