  1. If you have someone or know someone who has a PSA 1.1 rackmount or can try one - that will give you your answer!
  2. Utterly true, but....... it has a Kings X setting for example, and if that is how you dial in your DP3X and don’t change it, then that may be enough
  3. In short yes and no. PSA is the nuts and if you are guitar and bass it’s a no brainer, however depending on what you primarily use your FR and DP3X for and settings on them, yes you may be able to nail the sound you dial in and use in the regular, there is some crossover, but each of the individual units will be more flexible
  4. for all you dUg lovers out there
  5. I see the stats on its processing power and how it’s more powerful than most things out there, but one thing it didn’t say is how it stacks up against the Fractal Axe FX III. That has a 2Ghz chip as well and I think 4Gb RAM, but I can’t find anything to side by side them. Also I can’t find the actual head to head specs on the FM3, but I am aware that has the guts of the AxeFXIII to all intensive purposes and 4x12 blocks so 48 scenes. @Kev you have any knowledge on this for a shoot out?
  6. https://neuraldsp.com 100 squids per plug in cheap as chips
  7. Plus going straight into the desk they would have added compression there, but you are right about a string with no zing not giving you a ting
  8. Ha! The BF cab looked to be a mighty 15” or 18” cone
  9. Noice Is that a dubster?!
  10. Question I’d like to know or find out. It can have 2 to 4 rigs. Can each instrument have their own footswitch/midi switch so they can do their own thing away from the central unit. I can see how this works on big gigs with all gear off stage and nothing on stage everything timelined and midi switched, but if a band wants to share and have their own switches is that possible?
  11. Ok selfie will do for now, or gig pics!
  12. She has got great lungs - Bravo
  13. I genuinely hate those videos and that style, however what functionality it shows and it’s make up etc. It does look a nice piece of kit
  14. It’s not loads less than a Fractal FM3, which is the natural like for like. They are between $999 - 1399 depending on whether it’s merchant or direct
  15. Here you go... https://reverb.com/news/sandberg-guitars-releases-new-lionel-short-scale-bass-updates-existing-lines-namm-2020?utm_source=rev-ios-app&utm_medium=ios-share&utm_campaign=blog
  16. Every time I see Sonny play bass I wanna give up Monster
  17. Leave off - I saw it first
  18. They also did this recently
  19. So NAMM approaches, new paulownia SL bodies and roasted maple neckwill be on show, some new finishes, a VM5 with Aguilar OP2 preamp and Aggie pups and a 30 inch short scale called lionel
  20. Agreed - so important That’s Usain Bolt standards!
  21. Or buying an amp that has a compressor on it, as opposed to one without
  22. Key is how you want to balance the tone/wiring I tone knob to rule them both with a Vol vol approach, separate tone knobs for each, fully passive, pop a preamp in, push pulls, stacked knobs, a push/pull series parallel etc. Thats the real fun!
  23. Defo higher output bridge P
  24. Good work fella, it’s nice to see someone interested in their own personal instrument craft as well as the craft of others, their instruments and what they do for the betterment of a band they are playing in and how they all fit together. Its the little things even before we get to EQ etc like what pick ups/guitar does the guitarist use, how are the drummers snare/toms etc tuned and how do they play - then you can look at P vs J bass etc. To fit. Its all about musical sensitivity, intelligence and feel
