  1. Tech21 VT Bass 200 http://www.tech21nyc.com/products/amplifiers/vtbass-200/
  2. I must add that I have a couple of Tonestyler Duo6’s about to be unleashed on basses
  3. Yes you may! Mine is a self build, Creamery ‘58 pick up , TI flats and sits around clicks 2-5 from open depending on the scenario. It adds just a touch of ‘grit’ and break up and is very satisfying straight into a PA, pick or fingers
  4. Beauty of a bass and great clips - love me a Tonestyler- Bravo sir As we were discussing before, I number it 1 through 10 from wide open to closed, and you go t’other way round - but we end up bout the same clicks from our starting position, although not the same tone!
  5. You are safe then, for now.....//🤨😡🤬😈
  6. Nah, none from me, you’re a good lad and already admitted your folly of letting the Sonic Spark go....
  7. That is bloody lovely
  8. That’s exactly what I took it for
  9. Would be interesting to hear if the hyperbole is true - at the current volume ratings my PJB Cub is king
  10. There’s the spirit
  11. Now we are talking - unless you absolutely have to, why cut back, just enjoy it!
  12. @FinnDave interested as to why you would have to crank the Supertwin more than you would the SC to be able to be heard on stage and thus interfere with volumes? SC is half a Supertwin, further away from your ears so actually would this not have to be cranked to at least the same volume? Is it more you have to push your head to get a ‘pleasing’ sound on stage thus interfering with volumes and either a head change you don’t have to push as much, or in ears would be a better way to go so you can be at lower volume.
  13. Sorry, should have tagged @Marvin was meant for him as a cheaper alternative! Way back in
  14. Well, fingers crossed there is always a PA then a nice DI preamp May be all you need!
  15. Nope - they are keeping the house sturdy in case of subsidence or natural disasters
  16. Gotcha i decided that clothes were not very important, and when the door is closed no one sees - her indoors certainly won’t worry about the packing becoming tighter
  17. Got the Supertwin into my toyota Aygo along with double gig bag, amp and stuff, could prob fit guitar stuff as well, front seat was unused for gear Smaller amp could be the key and rock the ST 001
  18. Hmmmm what a bummer - that’s 12mm - who does that!!! I am sure there will be some out there that have 12mm bushings, can’t thinknof any off the top of my head) but really this has been getting on my wick for a while Why not Make Standard hole sizes, bridge screw number sizes etc. Across all manufacturers. Yes there will be a backlog of parts - but come on it’s not that hard surely?!
  19. @Bill Fitzmaurice will always succinctly and properly fill in the gaps - a wealth of knowledge - my explanations are a bit bargain basement especially as I was struggling for signal in the welsh hills!
  20. So the idea is white primer - then Shoreline Gold, then drag it behind a car or something and create a relic look . On those Geddy book pictures you can just see some wood poking through. This is obviously an extreme version, but you can see the wood coming through, is what I am thinking so it looks ‘seasoned’
  21. Do you need to re-drill for better ones? what are the bushing hole sizes?
  22. Only amp that needs a load is a tube amp. Thats because it opens a loop in the circuit to offload the heat (signal) sonit does not form an ever increasing circle which blows the tubes/amps Class D have internal switching transistors which perform this job, and there will be other heat sinks, fans etc. Broadly speaking. So yes - DI out with confidence without a speaker on class D amps
  23. I’m in for double! Next decision make it a welsh dragon with radioshop 61 and wizard Thumper or GZR and Thumper! Coild Be Double Dragon!
  24. Yep i could oil it a coat or so to help it stay...
