  1. With a Markbass number plate
  2. Like the old Ford Cortina or Vauxhall’s chevette estate the family used to have
  3. I dunno - some didn’t seem too broken - maybe after this they were deemed safe and then are up for sale
  4. Maybe there would be a Darkglass Age of Ultron pedal, may slip under the Marvel radar...
  5. Cross between Tron and the millennium falcon and Moss Isley Love it
  6. ‘Good’ doesn’t have to be playing, could be good at marketing yourself, image, persona etc. As you have eluded to
  7. OK To get a decent sound, you have to know your environment, use your ears, or someone else’s if yours are rubbish, and tweak dependent on this and not numbers. To get some form of signature or endorsing deal, you have to be bloody good, and if you want there is no harm in taking what is offered, it puts dinner on the table. Markbass look like pavement pizza after a night of jäger bombs, absinth and a dodgy kebab. (Disclaimer - I think I am beautiful but have a face for radio, even my mum said that)
  8. Not a DG hater, used their stuff, not quite for me. @Tech21NYC DP3X - half the price, and a tuner, can be just as evil, has a crossover distortion, yes on the face of it less tweakable, but controls still very useable, although there may be slightly less mid presence. Tiny foot print
  9. Mebbe - but by his own admissions(Doug) the Helix does a damn good job on the B7k model, you can do cross over, I am sure Fractal will come good etc. At that money helix or others may be a better shout....
  10. I had to get something to rhyme with T or it would just be LMNOP - unless that’s a new pedal?
  11. No doubt the X amp will be out, or AOXB3KVMTDuality pedal will be out as well
  12. https://www.facebook.com/blackstonecherry/videos/392769961349354/
  13. But it’s Ultra....
  14. Never saw this coming....... https://www.darkglass.com/creations/microtubes-x-ultra/
  15. True, but we established early on that neither Mark is an oil painting so we moved on
  16. Agreed - but if questions are asked.....
  17. Shim shimmery, shim shimmery, shim shim sheroo.......
  18. Must be your fingers Flats or rounds, clean or dirty - I get met with tumbleweed
  19. Twas a good deal - mine were from a U.K. seller who obviously got them over, so no import Thanks for getting the name correct for me!
  20. @gorandelac I am not playing Motown with flats either, although I would - whole other genres. I just try to match what suits what
  21. There is so much at play here, pick up hotness, tone knob, bass pre amp. As an example the Stellartone Tonestyler can add a bit of ‘grit’ to a tone. I use it with flats, clean for a nice slightly bitey tone for want of better words. Another bass pick ups really likes flats, it just takes its response and I works better clean or dirty. All variations on a theme
