  1. Or a flick with a d tuner
  2. It’s not a bad suggestion, but reading the OP comments it didn’t sound like a whole drop tune, merely lower notes whatever tuning, and rarely Lower than D, which suggests Drop D on a 4 banger as optimal, this can all be half a step down or even drop C
  3. Lehle Sonic Spark
  4. More strings than fingers on the one hand(mostly) Thats getting into witchcraft territory
  5. I’ll take a stoning for my beliefs big nose
  6. .
  7. Except when it’s 4
  8. I applaud the statement. This is not meant to be derogatory in any way, but...... How much teeth do the MU have? Can it affect a change for something like this?
  9. It was the Fringe wasnt that event Evidently as this is the first time it has happened. Sport, football in particular, was mentioned - until you close things like gender pay gap for sports stars for example the women’s football World Cup for all intensive purposes was equally as skilful and far more entertaining than the blokes version, but there is a discrepancy, and thank goodness tennis is getting there, there will be a labour pay gap as such. If the Edinburgh based musicians are getting a day rate equivocal to the outsiders getting food and accommodation, that’s pretty fair - at least it’s up front
  10. I agree with that except one point, when I sing, it’s better the instruments are louder
  11. Is it much different from other acts at the festival? Took an act there for a 1 week run, had to fundraise and pay for venue hire, travel, accommodation etc. All ourselves, people had to buy tickets to see us
  12. They are offering accommodation and meals for the rehearsal and festival period though if you are outside edinburgh, they only said no travel costs
  13. To be fair he did make the valid point that not everyone has good PA support and that these cabs are more for those people and bands etc but will it bleed into vocal mics, maybe not as much if positioned correctly
  14. Defo A bit left field but the Sandberg black label MM pick ups are very good, or maybe some thunderbuckers
  15. Jon is a great guy, chat every now and then with him Stellar musician as well
  16. It’s like a lovely Model T Get A GZR PJ set or a 51 tele p bass pick up and it will be thumping
  17. You don’t need to delve into personal finances here, but do you actually need to sell either? Unless you are backed into a corner, don’t do it, who cares if one only gets played once a year for example, your kit, use it how you want. On a practical level - the TF may be easier to shift, although someone may snap up the Hellborg. Keep both - keep the smile on your face
  18. Oh yeah tonestyler and a 58 creamery pick up in a 1er bargain
  19. Cheap if you get em second hand like I did and install yourself!!! Congrats though buddy and welcome to the club
  20. But if they work who cares
  21. Also nowt wrong with a fret wrap gently placed to aid the learning process whilst technique impro
  22. And yeah - dropping a whole tone is also cool Saves the singer, fattens the sound, then you can go to Drop C!
  23. In drop D the only interval is your low E is second fret and if doing disco octave intervals instead of index finger little finger span across the two strings you just fret the same fret for the octave. if you play an open D or fretted - string in songs, it’s nice having a low D alternative with an open bottom string. When you are doing licks ‘in the box’ 3-5 fret it stops you having to travel up and down the neck on the low E/D string. Can make a load of sense - but not for everyone
  24. 4 Tune Drop D with or without a D tuner. Extra depth, normal 4 playability.
