  1. Sheryl Crow and bass - amazing Charlatans - terrible but that Status Bass has decent crunch and was nice - definite highlight. Michael kiwanuka - always loved him. Stormzy - what a show and mixed up tracks and actually had live band sounding great. But I agree, here in TV land the bass has been great and I can’t wait for Kylie - Bassist uses Sandberg’s - so i will be happy and he is good. Bring on Glastontelly with cheap unlimited booze and habitable toilets in easy reach and a comfy bed
  2. Mono M80 and Fusion gig bags get my vote every time. Great pieces of kit
  3. Good man - apparently it took about 28 truckloads of stuff to load it all up. Loved it
  4. May not be everyone’s cup of tea, I happen to like it, but Stormzy put on one heck of a show. People underestimate him I feel, he is a clever chap, with good values and a decent artist
  5. Tim’s autocorrect brother created by a guy with tired eyes and sausage thumbs
  6. Next time You see him, please ask him if he finds Tom’s Page Boy haircut as hilarious as it is horrific
  7. All the best people are humble whichever sphere of work you are in. Top man, also internationally renowned in the field I work in used to pitch in and clean the areas etc. Where the less good egotistical ones would stand back peacocking.
  8. Agreed and Michael has a phenomenal voice, great British artist and good to see big hair!
  9. They were never charismatic, I enjoyed them in the days, but yes, a bit flat - came in at about 1 days notice for Snow Patrol
  10. Charlatans bassist rocking A status bass and Ashdown Sounding good and keeping it British!
  11. Well I am enjoying watching Sheryl Crow who is and always has been gorgeous and a great artist. Bassist using Reverends, guitars, piano, drums, lap steel - legend
  12. Don’t get me started on how good this is. They say never say never, but it’s never leaving me
  13. No Snow patrol - it’s now the Charlatans That line up really is not bad, you may not have that 1 global jaw dropping act, but across each line there are some teal good artists
  14. FM3has the equivalent of about 48 blocks I think. It is not a direct competitor to a Helix and is not just about how many footswitches something has, it’s more than that as inside it houses the whole Fractal full fat engine, the Axe FX III It sits slightly above a stomp, but below a Helix floor unit in both price and functions, but if you pair an FM3 with the FC-6 it comes in at a similar price to a Helix floor unit, is modular in that you can use it on its own, or with the floor unit, and with a very useable footprint, you can go for a larger floor controller if you wish. All in all a very decent alternative with its own abilities, but it is different. They are a smaller operation and I think Helix with yamaha power got theirs out in the market first. Fractal are a decent company as those that ordered the AX8 (which would have become defunct) were either offered a full refund or their purchase moved to the FM3
  15. Agreed Mine will be simples - i’ll Put in the plates and dials for ‘The Look’ butbthey will all be dummy. I’ll fit in a stacked Vol/Vol made by Nol electronics (they also do a stacked vol/blend) and a tone styler duo six. Means that I don’t need to alter the cavity and can use the existing plate 2 holes
  16. Yep that wiring is a nightmare - building a JJ one for my brother after refurbishing a body, and there is no way I am doing all the wiring! Found a decent work around though to get some functionality and not change the looks too much
  17. @Woodinblack why not look at the Fractal FM3 and possibly pair with the FC-6. That would give you many many blocks and still a reasonable footprint
  18. Agreed - clip on as a make do. Things like this are genius and other similar offerings like the Tech21 Bass fly rig and DP3X, Trickfish Trilobite, but for sheer value for money, this may just pip them all and it’s great looking
  19. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F303197485440 this would be very interesting (sorry slightly not fender...)
  20. Pretty sure there is a half decent JV Squier 82-83 for sale on here or on the Facebook selling pages which will look the part, and be quality
  21. From all the sound clips and reviews i can thrash through online, this certainly is a really nice piece of kit, and it’s good to know that ‘real world’ tests and further tests will confirm it. Its a great feature set for a gigging or non gigging bassist
  22. Again I don’t disagree with you, however someone would always say that the growing area of that tree was different to the other, and that warehouse storage facility had a humidity and temp slightly different etc. Controlling every aspect from growth through to assembly and making them even/optimal for the particular species of wood, would give the answer. You are right about being like jazz vs precision except we are not looking for a winner, they are just different
