  1. Very decent bass indeed, second hand for very little money comparatively
  2. Different versions will be pre 2015 and post 2015 shape and obviously different fretboard, wood, electronics choices, passive/active etc
  3. VS4 is produced all in Germany and their ‘flagship’ range Electra is their range where the parts are manufactured out east, but assembly and final check in Germany, so not budget, just a bit cheaper - they tend not to have any aged finishes either
  4. Tech21 DP3X - compression, drive, Tuner, EQ - amp Or no amp as can DI out
  5. 🤦🏾‍♂️🤣
  6. Best clean transparent volume boost pedal is probably Creation Audio MK 4.23. Alternatively you can get a transparent compressor like the MXR M87 (Or any others you fancy)to do the job by increasing the output level, and set compression to as little or as much as you want. Seems like you have it sorted already.
  7. A fine couple
  8. Enhanced enjoyment?!
  9. saw 2 heavy weight bassist with great tone in quick succession live. 1 tubes, 1 Class D Both immense
  10. People have bought thumb rests or tug bars instead of strings
  11. I saw that - poor chap - he will be back though, consummate trooper. I saw him in Bristol the day after his mother died, that takes a lot of minerals to perform as well as he did after that
  12. Kylie deserves her legends spot Sunday afternoon, and she does a great show
  13. Nowt wrong with that bass tone - stellar work sir
  14. Love FNM - coincidentally the song on repeat for me at the moment is Surprise! Your Dead! I would love to nail playing that
  15. AWB = Rock.........?!!!! Think anyone classing them as rock is smoking rocks - would have had them more in the funk genre. Great other bands mentioned though
  16. But to answer your question likely between £1 and £3.5k brand new
  17. Well a 3 band EQ is not essential, The cost entirely depends on what finish, hardware etc so there will be vastly different costings and it’s really easy for someone to find out exactly themselves rather than ball parks
  18. I forgot to say that Black labels have been since about 2015 I think
  19. Agree with @StevieE there are actually close to 1 million different options if you break it all down, Sandberg site has been hacked before and to get that back up and running was a mission. No harm in a bit of leg work from the punter - especially as the maker has laid a platform for options, which most companies do not do
  20. @Al Krow to roughly quote you and say I hate sounding like a broken record - (and no I don’t expect my posts to be doted upon) but I have said and others have said multiple times I am pretty sure there is no upcharge for Sandberg in house be they old of Black labels - there is an upcharge for Haüssel’s. Get your bass configured, copy paste the identifier generated - email Sandberg - and make any tweaks and and you get your answer, or to confirm if there is an upcharge, just email them. It’s pretty simple to get an answer, then most of the debate falls away
  21. Wizard pick ups made in Wales, I think he has stopped. its a hot P with a good rep, I picked it up at a good price. The next goal for me is winding my own as well
  22. I love pick ups i have a wizard thumper P, GZR P, GZR PJ all waiting for a home
  23. So the neck was on eBay from a separate seller from the company is called Freestone used to be called hilimire and are in the UNited states. The Frets need a little dressing and filing sharp edges - by they tell you that in advance. pretty decent quality and they use interesting woods
  24. You could easily pop some T bird type pick ups in as well
  25. Barefaced let you try in a gig
