Glenn can do very little wrong in my book. Didn't have the privilege of seeing Purple, but seen him tour his own songs and also classic deep purple more recently - he is still fantastic and it’s a great show - I recommend anyone even if you have a cursory nod to liking Purple to check it out - stagecraft at its best
-
But that’s not the point of the pedal - his rig has been engineered into the GED 2112, and now into pedal format to give you what he uses, to get your own sound near to it if you want, but also other sounds
-
Well I suppose I could buy a couple of RPM’s, Palmer speaker sim, an AD200 and Avalon DI and recreate the sound, or use the excellent Tech21 gear to get close to what he has live but have my own twist as even with his settings dialled perfectly exactly the Same, i’ll Never sound exactly the same. Its like dUg products, by all means I could bi-amp, but they have been engineered brilliantly into small boxes. Studio as you know is a different kettle of fish, often not the same bass as Live etc. But to answer your question, if he is using his signature pre-amp live and playing songs from multiple albums........
-
Probably something similar to the pre-amp he uses to get his sound, but in a pedal enclosure

Yeah I seen that - those ones are listed at 4 days I think, some like the DK say 11 weeks, I think that Umbo has been hanging around for a while and I nearly moved on it a while back and it goes up and down in price. I was going to compare it to my existing TT, but then the price jumped to over a grand again - that day - they look at Marlow forces and exchange rates and alter things - I think my multiple enquiries whilst thinking made them look for more profit! They also have a generic Korea/Germany country of origin and list it as basswood/linden and not Alder. Fingers crossed it may be OK But I am not buying right now!

Oh - I don’t really do Facebook - maybe I am more punk!

Oops! ha! Rsputin was a bit mischievous, but it’s amazing how it can be changed to be almost unrecognisable. Maybe that could be her challenge - make a popular song unrecognisable to most
-
Was going to suggest Robot Lords Of Tokyo Of Mongolian Metal band The Hu and their song Wolf totem but I fear they may also be too popular.....🤘🏾
-
Wow - if he counts some of those songs are well known your singer really has some even more underground taste! Better not suggest Game of Thrones Theme tune - no words.....

I have a PJB Bass Cub - I agree with the guys in a loud band practice it will struggle (remember it does have an extension can to add if you want, which I don’t think has to be PJB) but when we jam/practice in a garage the guitarist has a 10-20w Tech21 trademark which is a cracking guitar combo amp, drummer is on electronic kit, and we all play nicely. Have done it with a full kit the same, but playing softer. 2 inputs so vocals or another guitar could go through. its a great piece of kit

Faith no more - Surprise your dead Cactus - Evil (Black Stone Cherry ruined their cover by slowing down and losing the bounce) KXM - Breakout Deep Purple - Burn Deep Purple - You Fool No One Vintage Trouble - Blues Hand me down Helmet - Unsung Helmet - In the Meantime The Atomic Bitchwax - So Come On Electric Deluxe - Devil (will need a big re-work) Led Zepplin - Lemon Song Living Colour - Cult Of Personality Kings X - Dogman Kings X - Black the Sky Supershine - Shinin on Zac Brown Band - Heavy is the Head The Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein Boney M - Rasputin Just a few off the top of my head which can either be plucked or moulded - happy for you to say no to them all - but been great racking my slow brain on a morning! A lot of variations across your theme I would hope and elements of them all in each song, or applicable with some work

PA. Anyone using Alto TS315's or TS312's etc?

Used 15s and 12s as a mixture of FOH and monitors Worked great and went plenty loud. Had everything through, electric drum kit, vocals both guitar and bass -
I’ve gone old school and when I do get round to carving a body from my block, I am going chisels all the way - it will be a labour of love for sure

@Al Krow bass you had for 4 years and had no idea it had an active passive pull push knob till I told you about it. (And they are Delano’s, not Sandberg’s Delano’s, just one of Delano’s pick ups and it’s a balanced view on its capabilities I give, not blind binary thinking - it’s more for general benefit lest they be fooled by your otiose remarks ) DG amp you got and then moaned at me for not telling you the tone knob had a variable low pass filter function despite it being clearly written in the manual, and then refused to take out the house until you bought a nice satchel for it. Yep you know your kit inside and out and how to use it.......... Just because you are doing something a lot has no bearing on whether you are doing it right or even well. Classic case of all the gear and no idea or stash but gash. Yours, A happy gear nerd and tootler. -

And most of the free world as well thinks the same -
Knocking it out the park.....
-
Come to think about it, depending on how long the wires are you could conceivably take the plate off and drill a hole elsewhere on the lower part and re-site it - no messing about with a re-wire
-
Now this would depend on how much you used the tone control, or used active..... If you used active but never rolled the tone off You could probably turn the tone control into a rotary type switch to perform the same function as the switch rendering that as a dummy. Or if you used passive only you could use a spare knob in the same way. Or I suppose leave as is! I do sympathise I alternate pick and finger as well, and pick the way I hold the bass naturally gravitates my hand towards the bridge end

It’s been mentioned before about other ‘smaller’ brands, and you hear phrases like customers talking with their feet or their wallet. It appears what is sauce for the goose is not necessarily sauce for the gander - Be interesting what the defined popularity to for sale ratio has to be to decide its a trend to mediocrity in a product. -
Great work - looks fab. I know some on various places have ratted the Glock pre amp - but one of its strengths (at Sandberg’s request) is that it sounds the same in passive or active mode - active gives a little more ‘push’ and of course an EQ option. you look after it, it’ll look after you and will always be at your side - congrats

A joy to behold and me and @krispn are both legends!
