  1. @dave_bass5 are you buying new or is it a ready made from a distributor? The bass, no doubt is the nuts, so well made. Delano pups are anything but polite/tame it’s all about how you use them and the Glockenklang pre-amp is a very good piece of kit indeed, you will pretty much get all you need from them - the tonality between active and passive is exactly the same, but active gives a bit more ‘push’. We all have different tastes but the 2 band EQ is all you need. If you are buying from Sandberg you can ask for the Glockenklang 3 band pre-amp if you wish instead, and also you could get their Black label pick ups inserted instead of the Delano ones. The black labels could be purely passive, or they do Haüssel pick ups which are also brilliant if that is your preference as a special. There is of course the ability to drop any of these in as you wish. You won’t regret it
  2. @Osiris You still cant have the bass tho - too long for ya
  3. I was given a decent little kit made by Tacklife for my birthday - has done all my jobs nicely. I found 350 to be about the optimum level to dial in for these
  4. Agreed And MarloweDK - what a bass - mine will travel to the grave with me
  5. @geohamIMO mojo is whatever you describe it to be, it’s such a loose alternative banded around. The dictionary definition mojo as “A quality that attracts people (or something) to you and makes you successful and full of energy” People going off on a tangent and talking about the natural or unnatural wear of a bass are wrong. This bass makes you feel alive and you want to play it - it has mojo, end of. I completely get it - some things work that on paper should not, but is not paper and a spec sheet - it’s raw materials moulded into something which seem to have gelled into a piece of kit great for you. Look no further unless you have to or want to, or at least don’t sell it to chase a dream, the grass is not always greener
  6. You have to gig it. Its quality - it’s made by sandberg, the pick ups are phenomenal, and it’s über light - so light you could go back to lugging tube amps to make up for lost weight! I don’t slap and this bass made me want to - Bring the Power Back RATM sounds mint on it really happy for you!
  7. Great guy, prompt payment, easy conversation when he bought a Hipshot D tuner off me as I responded to his wanted ad. Would do business again
  8. There are no wrong notes - just slight disconcordance leading to a new direction
  9. Good man!!!! I did tell y’all it’s punchy as hell. You think atbthat weight it’s a toy, butbits a serious piece of juice. Congrats

  11. I am excited for you!!!! cant wait to hear
  12. Agreed, and thanks - less is more. Had a run out tonight with the band - did what it should do easily, sounded great and played well. I will probably shim the neck to get the action down (although I am not frequently atvthe Dusty end) it only needs a couple mm’s and then it’s done.
  13. @hooky_lowdown you win - tugbar only!
  14. @bigsmokebass stop it!!! You won’t force me to sell my DK! Top notch bass tho
  15. Ok Cheers I was aware they were Jazz, but i’ll See what they look like before drilling. May do one, may do 2, May do none!
  16. Absolutely stonking! Good work hooe you enjoy playing it as much as I enjoyed playing it
  17. IMHO - it shows the honesty of the seller showing it with the Ultralites - The key is that if you popped the original tuners back on, the likelihood is there would be no holes to see anyway, everything covered. Hooe the sale goes through
  18. I bloody like it, and it has some cool riffs and a nice haunting sinister content, but not in a bad way, atmospheric and building of tunes. Yoi can hear the mix of rock, blues and good old fashioned Madchester vibes in there. Nice work pal
  19. Thanks my man Blow torch and Napier London Gun stock finish from Amazon - that’s it. I did about 4 coats till the wood stopped drinking it and the last coat was a little tacky, then I wiped that in. Kept it very matt
  20. And Shipwreck lives!!!!! Just need to sort the action out - the creamery 58 pick ups and tonestyler are a brilliant combination - very happy chappy. a friend donated these to me - would be rude not to pop them on.....
  21. @BassBod this south wester is severely tempted, they are legendary, just can’t do it, too much stuff already. But again GLWTS
  22. Cheers - get busy on it!!
