  1. It will probably be due to the neck profile. If it’s their #6 neck (I think) it has the width like an old P bass butbis shallower and is actually very fast. I prefer it massively to their default #12 neck which is labelled as the it PJ neck - it does what it says on the tin, falls between a P and a J and doesn’t quite work. I have no doubt this will be the beans - this is the underrated hero of the G&L range
  2. Or get one of their 610 cabs - that would be immense! In all seriousness - i have the Supertwin and can attest on its durability and strength - maybe not as extreme as some of the guys have done, but heavy enough for your amp weight
  3. Agreed to that - BRISTOL lad here - all the gear and no idea me!
  4. Classic bi amp - some of the greatest have done or still do a variation of that
  5. ....aaaaaaaaaand this unit is not trying to compete with that. It has its different effects which are very easy to change and access on the fly, which by your own admission whether its on your bass or not, or on your amp or not has the most commonly used things a bassist would use, with LED lights to see the dials. Yep the MS-60B has loads of stuff, but as a user and a gigger of it how many of the various effects did you use on it playing live, then scroll through easily, change any parameters to suit the situation, and how easy was it compared to what the Fender is offfering? I think that is the main question here or comparator if you could shed light on it Sat at home trying out which plethora of effects in the grand scheme work for you - of course the MS-60 has more to offer, but as a simple, powerful gig ready (or home ready tool) it is well worth a cursory look.
  6. If folk want shielding, then a roll of copper tape, with a sticky side is cheap and readily available for anyone to do themselves as their own aftermarke job, on an aftermarket job
  7. Fine job done there. Well done that man
  8. Gotcha - looks a nice bass- nice player as well

    Reverb?

Yep I have bought a few things from there....🤦🏾‍♂️
  10. A/O is without doubt the best thing DG do, apart from maybe Hyperluminal
  11. @Wolverinebass and also because nothing beats dUg
  12. You are right B3/B7 are exactly the same engine So essentially you have 5 different engines to play with and see what you like across the range
  13. Good man - you won’t regret it. Remember you can choose your pick up options and that’s not readily available on the site, but once the build is confirmed tell them your preference out of what they normally stock
  14. https://gruvgear.com/products/david-ellefson-recoil-signature-strap for any interested parties
  15. All good findings - as ever the tone you want will always be an amp by amp basis, and of course it depends what goes in front
  16. Aye I can appreciate that - suits my playing arm being straighter due niggles with that! Strap wise as an aside the GruvGear one made in association with Dave Ellefson seems to be the Bees Knees in how good it is to get the balance for your bass - had a whirl on it with a mate who had it - it’s good. It’s also Vegan for those that have limited choice
  17. This is starting to pan out as who wears their bass properly slung low. i am in that camp for sure
  18. @LukeFRC exactly the point - it may be an absolute turkey and then it makes no difference is single or multi effect - it’s all postulation based on no real knowledge, except that Fender pedals have for the most part been pretty good, the man Alex involved in design and EQ is fairly decent and it looks pretty good! All the debate has been on definition on a name pretty much, and the old aux in and aux out debate, which to my mind is not a game changer. Most people on here esp will have some form of combo, other pedal, iRig and garageband etc which does that
  19. Let’s settle this - firstly it’s marketed as a multi effect not ‘effects’ pedal or ‘fx’ pedal. An effect pedal is an electronic device that alters the tone, pitch or sound of an electronic instrument. Effect as a noun - a change which is a result or consequence of an action or other cause Effect as a verb - cause (something) to happen; bring about Multi is always just more than one, even if the options are A and B or A/B/C it would still be a multiple choice question. What will nearly all bassists use on a gig or any situation to a variable degree - Bass, drive, compression, EQ. Sounds like it’s a good job done, esp with LED lights to see where your EQ points are at a very reasonable price point.
  20. @CameronJ Sorry - took me a while to get to this. @woodywyatt I’ve played most basses in the Sandberg range with variations of pick ups and configurations. If you are looking at new, give me a pm, i’ll Pass anything I know to maybe help
  21. I think the relic vs non relic vs mojo/fake mojo has been done to death - so please nothing on that. But......at what point does wear and tear on a bass go from a potential price deduction on a second/third hand bass to a piece holding/enhancing feature. Evidently there are classic era’s of basses and they will hold value no matter what, but essentially we know these marks in no way affect the quality of the instrument or how it plays, but there has to be a turning point where people call it mojo. Just interested really
  22. And those Haggis Horns were good!
  23. We are doing AC/DC long way to the top with our piper. They are a bugger to tune to, we have to be 1/4 step down and even then it depends on how warned up his pipes are - could be great, could be awful. Another for your feed....
  24. @dmccombe7 my father is a Scot so I will be representing with pride! If there are any good pics i’ll Post
