Fingers of course, but you could experiment with Jazz basses, Ricks, Hofners, Wal’s, Steinbergers and then Sansamp RPM, Avalon, Orange amps amongst all other things splitting signals etc. He has used, or get close with your own twist in a pedal!
Well, it looks neat and tidy, and seems to compress/elevate the signal as a compressor should behave within the parameters the user sets it at if they know what they are doing.
Entirely depends what you want your compressor to do or add which will determine the one you go for, difficult to assess on the video whether it adds any musicality to the signal.
You can still run a 1/4”, TRS or whatever to a desk.
Doesnt need to have an XLR, it’s hopefully nailed the Geddy rack pre-amp in a smaller format.
Totally understand its release
It could be related to that, but I think what is important in a bass manufacturer is they use the same amp across the range at the same settings for consistency no matter what it is
Nice wee review there and glad to see you have a set up that suits you and your sound, must be incredibly satisfying.
Everything I have heard, listened to and have spoke to people about sets Trickfish up to be a fine piece of kit, and I really think their Trilobite pre-amp is a great piece of kit for people To use out there
Bravo
Are we doing that partial quote thing again.............
Influence and mimickery are 2 different things as a opinions based on knowledge vs assumptions or a collation of opinions
@Al Krow the MB was paraphrasing the other thread on their guitar release about their gear. Happy for you to knock any of the gear I own, it matters not to me.
I don’t hear or see dUg trying to be or play like Entwistle.
If you cant hear what the pedal is capable of, and how it can be used to fit into the mix of the band based on the video clips out there, then that’s your folly.
Obviously those bass gear review magazines listing it within the top rated bass products of 2018 know stunningly little.
If you think one of the greatest and influential rock bassists of our time is pants and sounds like poo, that’s cool too.
Will Be nice though to hear more stuff on the C4 when it comes out to see if it does replace what you think it will replace on your board to help you out when gigging.
In that case then, no rozzers to see me open a whole can of whoopass myself on you.
This one i’ll Let slide (maybe) but that’s 2 against dUg now i’ve Clocked from you, if I see another people would think even Markbass stuff looks better than you by the time i’ve Finished wiv ya........🤬
@Al Krow but that’s because of the known entity of its fly rig footprint, dUg’s sound, how dUg achieved his sound, and how the brilliant Tech21 dUg Ultrabass 1000 amp works.
Plus it had been mooted for about 2 years and the prototype had been on tour and seen in the wild.
That’ll be why
@The59Sound only logic I can think is that you have the rackmount/Preamp, therefore for those that want that sound, but use a board and don’t like a fly rig type thing, it’s a pretty reasonable option

i for one am disappointed they havent done it in Bumblebee to coincide with the new Transformers movie....
I wasn’t sure about the XLR out as you say, because Geddy is without an amp as we know.
Instead of going down the DP3X, fly rig route then, it’s just Geddy in a box.
Not bothered either way if they have it nailed as it will be good
They were pretty reasonable with the DP3X price, and it’s listed as $199 so I reckon it will be ok.
And if it doesn’t have things like a tuner it may come in cheaper than the dUg pedal.
I presume it will also have an xlr out.
surely I don’t need another dirt box
