Nope don’t agree. Music tribe is a conglomerate, all interlinked with Midas, Behringer etc. No need to paste endless links when there is a clear link showing the info. Horses mouth - The manual - linked here, pictured here, even easier to find than the websites you linked for an average nerd or non nerd person who can use t’interweb. To assume makes an donkey out of u and me, I don’t do it. Most average bass players who don’t nerd will likely get on fine with this amp - pointless statement. Most nerds will likely get on fine with this amp as well Are nerds better players? Doubt it, i’m not, i’m Defo a boring geek nerd. Manufacturer is not misleading - it’s clearly stated in their specs as peak power. If an independent person tests it and says they lied, it never reaches 2000w peak, then yes treat it like VW and it’s emissions data and pour scorn, and after that settles the end result will be regardless of figures it’s a great amp for you or it’s a crap amp for you.

I have to agree with further diligence than just the retailer, often someone has typed it up and could have innocently omitted, written wrong which on glance would be bad. Calssic example is the Sandberg Forth eight guitar and the pick ups. Underneath the metal housing it’s a split coil at the neck and a Bucker at the bridge. I saw everything from 2 buckers to split coil at the bridge and bucker at neck etc. Go to the horses mouth, always works best

And is easily found as linked

They are just holograms, it’s not their fault

@Bridgehouse we posted in tandem!

https://media.music-group.com/media/PLM/data/docs/P0AED/BV1001T_BV1001M_QSG_WW.pdf doesnt take a genius to find the manual, go to the specs section and read. It was quicker than typing this post. Plainly said. End of the day, does it project enough through your desired PA or Cab with a decent enough tone? Consumer researchnis pretty easy in this age. Use your ears, wouldn’t bother a load of people if they called it the 2 million amp. I suppose we can now debate the benefits of a class A pre amp mixed with Class D tech vs filed effect transistors, or even metal oxide ones, silicone vs germanium.....etc....

Thanks for the above. Lays down the point, do due diligence and research (likely more than forum debates) you will decrease your variables to get where you need to go

All this stuff about names is bunkum, I remember people somewhere writing in disbelief that DG amps didn’t actually have oompah loompah sized tubes in its pedals or amps, and how it’s misleading. Is a precision bass any more precise than a jazz, and can a jazz only be used for jazz. Do your research on the sound (not just looking at figures), evaluate no matter what the name it’s given, use your ears - it’s really simple. There are great people on here but their sound is their sound. I may hate their stuff, they may hate my stuff, wouldn’t make either of us change. So many good guitarists and bassists through time have used unfashionable stuff not many others would touch but sound mint. Very simple

@countjodius So that TM pictured is different in that it has a Darkglass Tone Capsule pre-amp, 35” scale, whereas your standard TM will have a Glockenklang preamp and be normal scale. The first thing that people get wrong in their heads is expecting the bridge humbucker to sound like a Stingray. It won’t. Different position, different voicing, different Preamp. It is there to compliment the neck pick up whatever it is, or to sound a bit more jazz like solo’d That being said that particular TM Grand Dark as you can imagine can go very deep and the tone shaping has sensible EQ points, obviously it’s a ‘Rock’ machine, but it will Do so much more. A normal TM has a normal scale and is also a very very good bass covering so much ground. That TM2 has just been fitted with the new Sandberg Black label pick ups and it has transformed what is a very very good bass into an astonishing one, so punchy when you want, but gentle also. I think probably the TM2 was my fave of the lot, there was a ‘feel’ about it. I was surprised as I got put off by double humbuckers after my G&L experience. It may not be the most exciting to look at compared to the other more striking ones, but it’s phenomenal. Really though it’s like asking who is a better Supermodel, Christie Turlingron, Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Yasmin LeBon etc. If you get your hands on anyone, you won’t be disappointed! Hole @FacStudio doesn’t mind me answering!

@FacStudio you are un-hateable🤗

These are minty, good work. I have a blank bit of wood at some point I will get round to making a first bass, may go for a similar pick up!

Sandberg 48 in metallic orange and matching reversed headstock

No worries We have done that and just locked in together for riffs, paid divedens when we did a gig and couldn’t really hear the drummer as he had an electric kit, and not monitors, so it was only slapping pads like a tiny handclap! I quiteblike the beat buddy to regulate self play too
-
I feel for you Have you thought about a Beat Buddy Mini in the interim?
-
Creation audio MK 4.23 or compressor set to boost the output
-
Sorry to hear that, hope something new comes up your way, or even maybe another singer and guitarist? On the plus side, you live in Finland which I have always thought looks über cool instead of dreary old U.K.

A trusted friend has the Hyperluminal. In a nutshell, if you liked the SS compressor, it’s accurately reproduced. The BUS compressor I think is great, sounds great and gives a wonderfully transparent and punchy feel. If you like the original BUS compressor sound then it’s not a bad replication. Cali setting is good, close but not quite the while cigar IMO. The price is not bad if you think about it, 3 compressors, PC tinkering with parameters. @Bearfist just sold one, he may have some more insight.

Email and call Thet are very responsive

Most new thin telly’s have awful speakers and they are after rear facing projecting the sound the wrong way. I picked up the Samsung soundbar and separate subwoofer and it’s pretty good and a a reasonable price. Eooder is Bluetooth, soundbar can be also but it works better and syncs better using the optical output
-
I’d sound better playing it strings facing my body
-
I’m more Black label...
-
@krispn apparently you come with a standard powerbucker
-
@Bearfist FYI, this is a reverse headstock....
-
@Bearfist good score, awesome bass. Hölger is an absolute dude, and you could have asked me, i’d Have told ya! This is high on my gas list and is just a badass bass, you will look the nuts. @dannybuoy yeah that Enigma is cool. It is likely different again, split coil or not. Each Sig bass has the pup positioning slightly different to standard models so despite apparently looking the same there will be very slight differences. And then of course there is the differences between Sandberg pick ups, sandberg black labels, Haüssel, delano they are all great

Sweet!!!! i am happy to solder and do all that, I have flux etc. Just wanted to make sure it’s cool before I cut another cable, which may prevent a return! thanks so much, much appreciated
