  1. @LewisK1975 meant to say if you want to know any more PM me cheers
  2. I had 2G&L ASATs which are the same pick ups and pre amps well made basses, really nice Loads of guts to the pick ups for my tastes almost too much as those MFD’s are wound hot and more Treble I think because as Leo had hearing and high end heating loss he compensated in his pick ups. If you can tame them they will work for you, but if you like pre amps and pedals it may be difficult to get the sound as they can be too much IMO
  3. Phenomenal mate good on you, it’s a belter
  4. @sifi2112 do you mind me asking what th bass is, it looks the beans
  5. Bass is gorgeous but it’s not mine!@mytilini
  6. I love a reverse headstock Tuning is a breeze
  7. @Osiris lovely review. I do favour a mid scoop and when I play a jazz I tend to play nearer the bridge with a bridge flavoured blend, brighter high and fatter low compared to The above gentleman’s much more organic rounded tone. Hartke does do drive with mids, and actually I EQ a tiny bit more back after after the Two Notes scoops it a bit on the setting I have. Hartke definitely gives you that attack to a note to really punch through
  8. Be good to hear thoughts on this. IMHO Pound for pound you don’t get better than a version 1 Hartke VXL on the second hand market, I love it and stack it with my Two Notes LeBass. If you really want a tiny footprint, massive sound with gnarly top end the 12Oz pencil case size Tech21 DP3X is pretty awesome
  9. Fusion gig bags are awesome and pretty bombproof Theu also do a double gig bag
  10. 8 or 12 string bass is an option. I know it’s not an octave pedal but the Tech21 DP3X pedal fills out your sound. If you listen to KingsX and hear how huge their sound is, they are a 3 piece.
  11. @Lozz196 you are an experienced guy and way better than me, but it is worth having a proper tinker and time to bed in with it. It is really sensitive to different basses as well, and you can IMO get a good clean tone and kick in the distortion circuit and have a good time there without further dial twiddling.
  12. Sandberg’s are the danglies
  13. The Wolverine is a legend bloke. Buy with confidence
  14. dUg pedal rules, it’s going nowhere
  15. dUg pedal rules, it’s going nowhere
  16. Cheers @Dad3353, I certainly know what my holiday homework is now, let’s see if I was massively far off with my over simplified interpretation for my tiny mind......
  17. @HellzeroSo I took RMS to be Root Mean square of the power an amp can put out or a cab can handle, which broadly speaking should give a continuos power level an amp can pop out. Obviously this is worked out from the peak power that an amp can put out, and the peak is normally put out for a period of time. This ‘average’ figure is based upon a sine wave sometimes about 1kHZ where the signal does not crap out, or the circuit does not overheat. As far as I know the THD stated relates to total harmonic distortion where the wave form gets clipped and hence relates to continuous power handling before it craps out I know that there are different ways of calculating an RMS. So very simply in my mind without knowing it all a true RMS possibly relates to the power a signal can be replicated for a reliably without the above happening. as ever I am happy to learn and if I am wrong please tell me, especially if I have over simplified it. i’ll have A look up as well, but any pointers to the correct sources would be cool
  18. Happy to be wrong!!! just about to check!
  19. @Hellzero continuous power is RMS and peak is peak so they do mention it same still applies tonig you like it’s musicality to your instrument and playing style, genre etc
  20. I wouldn’t call the TF misleading, its a name, they could call it a .506k, they could call it Nigel after my uncle, but they clearly state it’s peak and RMS capabilities in very clear detail on their web site which is easily found. Does the EQ, pre-amp and feature set speak to you yes or no, then work out how much power you need - job done, esp if it’s a freebie. I suppose you could argue the Aguilar Hammers your tone, but I guarantee the TE small amp does not help Santa make Xmas pressies in the North Pole
  21. I hope Brighton get relegated
  22. That’s a good shout i did not see anything currently in his store and I thought I did see one in there before, I have dealt with that company direct and they are pretty sweet
  23. I have known about it for a while, but had my ears and eyes elsewhere, may be the right time now!
