  1. To celebrate it needs Rage against the machine blurting at massive volume on it. None of your smooth love bass lines
  2. It you are lucky/vigilant on the second hand market there is great value out there. Got both of mine for half their new value best money spent
  3. He took the black aye lad, being a man of a darker skin tone, I felt it fits!
  4. Pretty unique, cheers. Passive, Hauessel pick ups, more of a P neck but still 39mm at the nut
  5. @ryancowell25 what similar like this..... silicone and germanium diodes, plus I have my Cali76G compressor too!
  6. This is my kind of club! These are my 2 glorious bases Jon Snow and Donkey Kong: They had a sister Shirley, but I had to let her go, great bass, fully passive.
  7. Without smashing other makes of pedals high end bass drive pedals. Its comparable price wise when you take into account all the things you mention, and it does it bloody well
  8. Looks like a massive awesome black currant liquorice nice work
  9. Not for being a Bell End, but I will argue slightly that vastly different EQ’s are needed (personal choice obviously) but you can get a good sound for both to flick on and off, there may be some compromise on your fave of each, butbits worth persevering esp if it’s a solution for a pick and go with nothing else, but it is also bass dependent/specific as it is so intuitive it reacts differently
  10. Ha! Not totally unfair, but I get your point. Trying to put it in perspective for those without the dUg but may have come across the 2 Notes. Both have an element of mid scoop, both have lots of bass on tap, not found the sweet spot to just release the bass on the dUg so it’s not a little choked, but the distortion is better. Also trying to de if I can’t stack em, then I will be happy. On the 12ver, dUg pedal and a touch of Mantic Beef Bag is monster!
  11. can’t wait to see it, just at work now, but I won’t disagree with him, he is a fookin unit
  12. Not watched it, but this guy has put 40 mins of effort into a DP3X review!
  13. @fretmeister king from that album is one of my all time faves, but the whole album is genius. Dogman holds a special place for me for personal reasons. But go through the whole catalogue and I love all the albums, the best thing is progression through the years on how the sound changes subtly, even back when they had the god awful name Sneak Preview!
  14. I did start with dUg and then went to 12 o’clock and re started, but seemed to have ended up similar to dUg. Trying to see if I can get it to stack with other pedals, doesn’t seem to quite play with the Two Notes, without really backing off the on the tone that I like the Two Notes gives me. Clean I have not found it to beat the Two Notes yet, the bass whilst present seems a little darker, next is to open the chunk with a low drive to see if it brightens it enough. Its loads of fun, especially as I am moving between headphones, PJB bass cub and Form Factor Bi1000 and Supertwin to see how it likes it all. One thing I will say, is I think it needs to breathe and have a bit of volume to really get the most out of it!
  15. Been playing it a bit more, it’s getting a there, and trying to balance it across all bases and getting a setting to work clean and dirty and with a 12 string. Current settings: To be the Dogman........ my sound engineer
  16. I’ve had the old sandberg gig bag semi hard case, and also seems mayes new one. Nig old pockets too, typically well designed German stuff, as you would expect from Sandberg which is bloody brilliant, and I am very biased, but it’s still true!
  17. You specify a case, butvthe gig bag which I think is included is more than up to the task
  18. Not in the flesh but they have been an option for a while now. All about getting around Rosewood CITES. If I remember Hölger speaking about it correctly it sits between Rosewood and Ebony in how it sounds, I may be wrong though. Thumbs up to Sandberg though, a truly great company
  19. So far dUg and a 12 string in his setting is pretty mint
  20. Sound designed in the 80s played on an 80s bass perfect match
  21. It’s a work in progress could well have been ear fatigue after hammering it out loud at home! i know I should probably cut my lows to boost the high end according to how it works, but I found that combination, with my amp seemed to work, and worked best with my Hohner B2ADB active on with bass boost and everything wide open, as opposed to my passive jazzes, which were more polite and needed way more digging in. It still needs way more of a journey to get right, but it’s so good with the Hohner I am considering changing its pick ups to EMG HB’s
  22. Current settings - sounding good.
  23. So mine came....... Its miniscule! For me it needs a lot of tweak time to get it right and the controls interact with each other all over the place. I am starting from dUg settings and seeing where it goes, already backing off his compression. To get the best out of this IMO so far, you need a big signal push up front, and re-EQ. Seems to like an active bass better if you want a grind sound Early days yet
