  1. I have no idea yet if mine has arrived, but I haven’t had the what is this? Message from Mrs Cuzzie either so we will see I think it requires the Supertwin when I get it though
  2. And Yammy have Helix too. Amps and cabs to go with your wireless device and pedal board, oh and of course bass!
  3. Good work Mr Wolverine. I looked at Wounded Paw very seriously a few years ago, (i was also lookinginto a dUg amp) but didn’t bite, there is a distributor in Exeter I think, but it was a non returnable deposit so I didn’t go for it to my shame. I took a gamble on something else and again I think I have the only one in the country of mine, and that works for me. I have been privileged to hear clips of this thing and it is brutal, but also eloquent. A good signature amp this is, nice work buddy
  4. Nice work and a great score!!! no pics no bass!!
  5. Form Factor Bi1000 400w or 1000w true RMS. Powerful and loud as hell with a tonne of bass on tap and an intelligent easy to use EQ. Version 2 is out in about a month where they should have tinkered the issue where the DI was affected by the master volume (DG M900 also does this so its not poor manufacture!) and thus is not anymore. https://formfactorpro.com/collections/bass-amps here it is on a Supertwin. Good luck on your quest!
  6. No worries As ever knowing is better than it knowing! Cheers Tony the Tiger
  7. @tonyxtiger please clarify!!!!
  8. Above is good advice I did the change with my 4 string, only nut that needed slight widening was the ‘G’ string
  9. New Schecter C4 Apocalypse has also a baritone version which is designed to be String BEAD if it’s your thing https://www.schecterguitars.com/bass/c-4-apocalypse-1655-detail
  10. i am pretty sure the incognito version has a touch of drive
  11. DUg works anywhere. Can it be Friday today please
  12. I will not disagree, he is a big old unit!
  13. That’s the chap I quite like him, not afraid to call a spade a spade
  14. Crikey, think they are a few hot and bothered people in the sun, wish I had never used the tyre analogy now! Although as one of the guys after me said, cheap doesn’t necessarily mean rubbish, so maybe we can cross the road safely using the green cross code, in the knowledge peoples tyres are OK.....
  15. @Al Krow I agreed with everything you said until you mentioned playing through your MB Combo.....
  16. @chris_b makes a lot of sense to me, and I use DR’s too
  17. This is gold dust Well done and I hope it keeps going for you
  18. Bunkum So the poster about this wanted to spend £50-70 on a set of strings he/she wanted and mentioned nothing about changing them every 6 months. Being flatwounds one would also assume a longer life than 6 months. I think you have taken the argument somewhere it wasn’t going to justify not going there if that makes sense?! Should we then say no point in Buying an American Fender when having a Mex one will not make a difference in the gigs, gig fees, appreciation etc. Or why are you buying a premium Japanese brand when a cheap Chinese copy will do the same. Flea changes his strings every gig, James Jameson notoriously didn’t bother, Joe bloggs does it every now and again Mrs Miggins does it a bit more often......., it’s all silly comparisons to say what to do and invent a reason for it. Get the strings you want at the price point you want to deliver the sound you want, know their lifespan, change them as required by you.
  19. Disagree strings make a massive difference, get the ones you like/love. You don’t put cheap tyres on a good car
  20. Yep probably right with soundforms. i get confused especially with beer and BBQ and BC at the same time!
  21. @chris_b mate I have a class D and love it, but I probably missed a few words speed typing. If I re-phrase which is in line with your comments, if there is a specific tube amp sound you like, it is very difficult to re-create that sound exactly with transistors etc, that the normal harmonics and squaring of the wave form a tube will provide, it’s close but not quite the same, like comparing satsumas and clementines
  22. So far as a can’t get a good sound out of class D, to me it’s expectations. You can’t beat a tube amp, so you cannot compare the two, and of you only accept a tune ampmsound as the sound you want, then amp vs amp the class D will always lose (without any pedals circuits etc.) but in the end your back wins!
  23. Ha - auto correct should be Delrin!! no worries fella, I used to use Dunlop Tortex big triangles, have not looked back with these
  24. @dave_bass5 no worries. The hard contact surface is quite small, but actually it leads to an interesting sound and it depends on how you hold your pick. If you catch it clean, it’s a clean sound, but if you catch rubber and plastic, it’s slightly different in a pleasing way. Also I stay near the bridge, my arm prefers lying straighter so it’s a natural gravitation, I love the bark of a slight bridge accentuated tone, and higher tension in the strings to batter
  25. @Paddy515 just normal grip tips, my guitarist buddy got me a selection pack to try. so far Deleon and Gel are my fave but I may explore further, nylon is too floppy
