  1. The world of multistringed is a wonderful place congrats
  2. I had 2 ASATs and an L1500 and have played a #7,8 &12 neck All different, all great, brilliantly made instruments, only reason I sold was to move to a fully passive bass, and have a pedal form my tone and not the nice Preamp, I am too simple for all those dials! I still miss my ASAT’s though GLwTs
  3. It’s looking like a #6 or #8 jazz neck. They are very nice, they are the usual ASAT specs. Medium C profile
  4. Look at the video clip, bottom right is the pedal, although you can’t see where the dials are pointing to, everything appears to be lit up, so I reckon dirt is on
  5. @Wolverinebass you have to remember as an enhanced mutant bass player your sensitivities are more sensitive. Us mere mortals may not detect anything
  6. As we wait delivery, here is another sample clip. It’s different to the others that were out there. In his comments he even stated he wished he had read the manual to see how the controls work properly, he would have dialled tones in easier. Even the Pro’s need guidance https://instagram.com/p/Bh8i7seFZDy/
  7. I have left the FX slot on my amp open esp for this!
  8. Awwwwww Just like The Lannisters.....
  9. If this is the #8 neck, it’s one of the best on the market, really slim. If it’s the #12 it’s like a PJ and also decent
  10. These are top notch basses, i’ve had a solid and a semi hollow version. May help the folks out there if you post which number G&L neck it is and dimensions. For the reports out there of neck dive, it’s overstated IMO GLWTS
  11. @dannybuoy totally get you. Kings X he has the dUg amp and Tech21 cabs. Grinder blues in europe you bet will be Glockenlang and Ampegs or FOA straight PA. I think it works
  12. Yep I get that, but for those suing dark 15” aren’t they likely to be coming out of the 1/4” jack into an amp, into a 15” Cab. For those with a hifi FRFR the mixing desk and speakers will sort it more than likely. so it does make sense
  13. I wrote this across on TB, happy to be slated, or commented on?! I know there is a lot said on the high end roll off from the XLR, etc. Fixed crossover points (it has to be, it’s a small box!) but are we not in danger of getting Gandalf in and trying to build things up as a one pedal to rule them all type thing? Nothing is going to do that. It’s a Sig pedal, it will work in the artists range and do it bloody well as well as touching other territory. I am not going to buy my Sandberg MarloweDK Sig bass and then moan it has a 37mm nut width and it’s too thin, them be the specs and it will be mint. Loads of speculation as it’s imminent, but in dUg we trust and wouldn’t it be funny if the XLR was unchanged and people complained it had too much high end?! I may be wrong on this, but are PA speakers not a fuller range compared to a bass cab? Knocking off some high end fizz may not be a bad thing as it has high frequency distortion and a good PA system will adjust accordingly, but having some more of the high end going to a bass cab that won’t reproduce it as well may be a good thing to allow it to cut? I dunno, happy to be wrong, but I can’t wait to try, and then we will know
  14. Well it may not be, and certainly it will be interesting how different the tone will be. i just think speculation is ramping up as it’s imminent, conjecture etc will amplify everything. Nothing will be 1 pedal to rule them all, and if it only comes down to the odd bit of knit picking with a bloody good sound, it’s a definite winner.
  15. @mcnach it’s all you can do really, for each person there is a reason why they settled on it. All we can do is give the OP ideas and he/she has to then explore and mix and match
  16. Decker can mean so many things, may just be a dampened signal so it’s not über hot. @Tech21NYC care to comment?!
  17. Tech21 are a great great make, splendid amp.
  18. You can’t get much better, if at all actually than a Sandberg Congrats
  19. It’s quality Mate, so glad you are happy with it, I know what a fussy madam you can be!
  20. @12stringbassist well if you let one go, no matter to how good a home it went to, you need to have another-you of all people deserve it
  21. You saw the price of the Aussie bass, but it looks great. Pop me a pm with your email and I will send you across what Tom Waghorn here in the UK said. Cataldo do 12vers in the US, they may be bolt on, i which case it’s prob cheaper to go for a holiday, and bring it back in a suitcase with the neck off! Or sit and wait one around the EU will come up
  22. @NancyJohnson I went through the process with Tom Waghorn here in the U.K. in Bristol, he may be worth a shot too. also there is this guy in Australia http://www.konigbassworx.com.au/kbwbassgalleryK12.html its mint
  23. Just getting a Korean standard was hard enough. Took me nearly 2 years to find one, butbits worth it! I went so far as getting one practically spec’d by Tom Waghorn, a luthier in Bristol and yep it’s around 2k, provisional, but then I found my Hamer so it’s build averted
