  1. Totally get you hope you get it sorted
  2. You can get the tools for under £15-20 on Amazon i try to do my own now watch all 4 videos
  3. Oh rubbish, sorry to hear that. is it a difficult set up? is it worth getting a few bits and using one of the awesome online you tube things to help?
  4. New to you!!!! but yes - an honourable draw
  5. I didn’t say buy! trade counts!
  6. @dave_bass5 no disagreement from me there bro. so I am laying down a challenge then. No new amp day thread with a TC BH series until 2019
  7. Fairy muff, it’s all relative to us, but it is damn fine I can tell you with the mid selector
  8. But you don’t have this EQ http://www.formfactoraudio.com/bi1000/#prettyPhoto They do a 400w version too....
  9. All we can give is relative comments, nowt ever works the same for anyone
  10. I rather rated that demo and the sound it provided, and yes having a pick player rules. @dave_bass5 nice recap on what it does. It’s really important to know your EQ or you are comparing apples and pears. It has a clean EQ from what I can see to accentuate the frequencies you want, and then you add a drive sound, which is in opposition to something like a BDDI which has its baked in tone, and the EQ affects that accordingly. I am a sucker for stacking tones and having something like a mild drive and a gnarly drive available at the kick of a switch. There is nothing like getting a new piece of kit, and actually using it to find all the available sounds, see how it interacts with other pedals and then other instruments to nail your sound, looking forward to more reports.
  11. Simon Bamber of Sico set ups is in Hallen mate. He is the mutts mutts and a properly nice guy. He used to work with Tom Waghorn. Not sure it’s worth anything, but you can say I sent you. He did a couple G&L bases and a couple Sandberg’s for me - my name is Ewan. Honestly I wouldn’t go elsewhere
  12. Cabs - personally I recommend Barefaced in any modular variety you choose making of a 610, Tecamp and Genzler cabs have always been pleasing to my ears. Amp - I love the Form Factor Audio Bi1000. Its a true 1000w RMS and very articulate. A bit left field but their cabs are also fantastic and they have Ceramic or Neo
  13. I agree with a decent transition into Logic
  14. Not necessarily rubbish, but just cos someone says I use this, doesn’t mean you have to. IF (and a big if) something was not letting you poke through then maybe some judicious EQ with your stuff you have may help this? More than likely everyone else, band members included liked your stuff, so no worries. Only do/add stuff if YOU want is my opinion.
  15. There will always be live music, there always has been through time. Big thread derail and diversion there out of context with what the OP posted about and the main crux of the matter. @AndyTravis still hoping all goes well for you, your daughter and your family.
  16. That relic was not done well, I would definitely not pay more for that. Why are we talking about respects etc. The most obvious thing is to get it attached to your towbar and drag it around a bit. You never order just one chip from the chippy, get some more, and gravy to go with
  17. Loads of valid points here on them, but it could be just so simple that they are playing music they enjoy and what comes naturally to them? Be interesting to see how they progress musically as they hopefully have a career
  18. Without adding too much more, I am a newbie and a bit along your road. Focusrite stuff is immense, I have one of the Scarlett’s (your choice number of channels expense etc.) I would also use garage band (I have done) as it’s a very simple interface, benefit being you already have a Mac, and if you want to increase complexity later on th natural progression would be Logic X Pro, which is like garage band on steroids, very easy to use, and easy to share tracks. Vicals, whilst probably not being the best I just used my Sennheiser e935 which I would use live (you can use your shure’s) and that will be fine, I ran it through filters or I even used my Cali76G compressor for my bass to decent effect. Best thing is to enjoy it, and say good bye to hours on end of fun
  19. Yep this was on their FB page https://www.facebook.com/tech21nyc/posts/1215898135113330
  20. Ah The folly of youth and basing opinions purely on that of others. The path of enlightenment awaits you as we learn to formulate our own ideas and goals regardless of others
