  1. I am not a fan of Ray’s in general but even I am finding these very tempting, I think it’s good work by EB
  2. Can’t comment on everything, but I have a mahogany Kala bass and I exchanged the rubber strings for the roundwounds. Means I still get that thump, but also I can e decent noise with a pick. Action is quite high on them, but it’s a whole heap of fun. No matter which you get you will like it
  3. They start shipping in April. Official word straight form the horses mouth
  4. Right then i am saying €329
  5. Looking OK so far. Just need an in depth with judicious twiddling
  6. You know what will happen, you’ll dial in the 5er sound, then pick up the P and go Whoa!!! And dial a new sound as the more mid present split coil will give you something else Take a picture of the dial settings you like now, crest a mini album on your phone then it’s easy to switch back and forth and you don’t lose what you’ve got.
  7. Glad you are happy buddy, time to enjoy
  8. It had to be something different as essentially in a year he has released the AO, mini AO and Ultra AO. USB connectivity surprised me a bit I must admit, but thinking about a Cab sim it seems obvious with the venture into cabs. What is ironic (unless you were being ironic) is that it’s a ‘yeah’ moment when it’s only £389. Crikey! Line 6 looks better and better all the time

    Fender HM5

    That is mint
  10. Yep the least surprising release really, it was on the cards for a while!
  11. Is it just the type of pick ups, pick up configuration etc. or the finish

EQ aside, come on, you know they lights got you, you can change colours on your mood...

Yep with you on that. i have to say I also liked the coloured lights

I very nearly did a while back, I think they look pretty good actually, but ultimately went another way. well done, will look forward to the review
  15. If you like Trickfish, you may like their pre-amp in a pedal. The glut of gear from NAMM is starting...
  16. To celebrate 10 years of DG they have a new bass by Dingwall with their tone capsule in. Enjoy
  17. Don’t get me wrong I am with you on that, and have done the maths numerous times and am exasperated by it. I’ve bought from across the water when the buy price plus shipping and taxes was cheaper than in the UK, both first and second hand. The big thing that irked me was the dUg amp not having a universal voltage, on an ampnthat expensive that is naughty. However if the dUg Pedal is universal voltage, well that can slip into hand luggage...
  18. Yep I agree, but at least it’s not $350 starter. I have no affiliation or particular affinity, but to be fair to Tech21 it’s the same for all products. A $20k car in the states is a £20k+ car here despite being exactly the same
  19. For headphones practice you could go straight out the GK or take a DI out of the Markbass into a mixer like a xenys 502 and pop headphones into that. That would bring you out the zoom and give you an idea of how it stacks with the amp. you don’t need to be connected to a speaker with them both being class D
  20. https://www.premierguitar.com/articles/26808-tech-21-releases-the-dug-pinnick-dp-3x-and-vt-bass-200?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=PGN+-+012318&utm_term=PG+Weekly so the dUg Street price is $289 - that’s not too bad! Combo looks interesting too
  21. What amp do you have?
  22. Yep daisy chain the 18v or you can get a stack flex cable and use 2 9v ports to create 1 18v output. depends on how much you need.
  23. All the points made above are why I use this alongside my muff type pedal
