  1. Yep I have a powercon as standard on my Form Factor Bi1000 They sent 2 when I bought it, really loving how secure it feels
  2. Had one, really liked it and wow there was some bass on it, but too many knobs for me to twiddle! still sounded mint though
  3. These are brilliant! if I hadn’t just splurged in a couple Pedals to prob get this tone! GLWTS
  4. Two Notes LeBass fits the bill.
  5. Pleasure buddy. Currently running chorus and dirt side by side, it’s rather nice
  6. Cam Another video review for you!! http://youtu.be/g-JTcyxaaZw
  7. That’s yamaha attitude billy Sheehan territory
  8. I am a pick player mate, and yes a massive difference going between picks from 0.9mm to 1.4mm and I also have some wooden ones. We should also differentiate those with a heavy finger attack or those that have longer nails when playing with fingers
  9. I like compression and have a Cali76G, done well it gives that extra je ne sais quoi to the sound. Set it up to squash a bit and punch like Anthony Joshua, set it to allow harmonics and sustain, but it is defo more than a volume boost, although it can do that, and if compression is making you get lost in a mix, then the balance is not quite right. Compression to some degree is used on all instrument including voice on all instruments of your records that you hear from the studio, so it can’t be that bad surely?!
  10. Oh Bas, you wordsmith, I see what you did there....... As we all know opinions are like battyholes...... Band is all fine thanks, not sure the world is ready for us though just yet!
  11. Nope Al all wrong Its the A and B channel and fusion modes , I am allowed a ranking or preference, I am not just picking 1. What I have is the flexibility to dial in different tones between stuff from high to low gain. Don’t get me face palming as well....! Oh and not ducking, had to sleep and work!
  12. In that can I add that I am actually Balloo please, Al your a bit more mowgli
  13. Haeussel pups are brilliant, I have a jazz set in my Sandberg
  14. Now I may be told that I am stupid, but it could work if you make sure that each of the single coils can be wired separately as well as together so..... Bridge pup linked to neck side Humbucker coil, linked to bridge side humbucker coil as well as bigge together, and series and parallel. I am sure something like this could be done with a 4 way DPDT switch. That would give you an interesting array of tones. With the 70s position in the bridge being closer to the bridge on the bass compared to the 60s position it should fit. It’s just making sure it’s phased correctly and not overpowering each other
  15. Current thoughts are it will sit alongside the Two Notes!!! I love the A channel so much, and love this drive pedal a lot, and I have the Tyler so I can!
  16. Form Factor Audio https://formfactorpro.com They do cabs and bass amps EICH http://www.eich-amps.com/products/cabs Trickfish https://www.trickfishamps.com/ Darkglass now make cabs
  17. Balloo is not in hibernation yet I am just playing with my BareFaced necessities......... (Sorry - I don’t get out much......)
  18. Mate, I went from a classic to a metro16 now I am thinking of going up again, or I may have a lead on a second hand nano + and run 2 together!
  19. Cam Had a quick play for an hour or so. It’s great mate, it does what it says on the tin, it blends the sounds beautifully So the centre point of the HPF/LPF dials are 450hz and the cut offs are 3HZ (fully left) and 20HZ fully right. There is a phase switch to set the phase of the high pass, a mix so how much of each signal and a level of 14db boost and a mix dial, so how much of each signal Crystal clear transparency for the bass signal as well as each signal independently, and mix how you want, it really is very good so far. Can’t wait for my new dirt pedal to use for it! Just as I tried to shrink my board.....
  20. Yes Good bang for buck, good pre-amps as well
  21. Focusrite 18i8 It’s teally good and has a headphone jack It’s brilliant Just not used it for silent practice yet aside for recording
  22. Hmmm dunno But what with a xenys 502, PJB bass cub, Hartke HD25 and an iRigHD, or USB Audio interface I reckon I have silent practice covered! Aside from a combo/head with aux in the xenys is such a good option as MP3, bass, guitar, mic can all go in May revisit the USB audio interface for silent practice actually, it will give a great sound with its preamps
  23. It’s because when I tell you stuff I rabbit on too much and you forget to sift through the chaff! I’ve always liked it, shame no aux in though
