1. Well it’s arrived!!!! I thought the drive was coming in! I can play with this happily
2. I will give it a going over buddy and let you know!
3. Which will be followed shortly by this- you would like this with your myriad of stuff http://basschat.co.uk/topic/314694-new-hpf-and-lpf-blending-pedal-kma-audio-machines-tyler/page__pid__3402242#entry3402242
4. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/314692-drive-pedal-with-a-tight-low-end-demon-pedals-credible-players/page__pid__3403112#entry3403112 The one in that thread I started, I think it hit the house today....
5. Cam, wait till I get to grips with my new drive pedal, I think it’s arrived today so I can give you a run down
6. In my recent splurge looking at creating a fat overdriven sound I came across this as a blending pedal you should check this new one out http://kma-machines.com/m_tyler.html http://youtu.be/myS94LW6lNY (The drive pedal at 1.36 mins used for demo is the one i am getting) Made by this guy in Germany and here is the info page on the pedal, you be able to access the other stuff he does via the rest of the website on the link above. There is a really nice video of his operation on there, seems he has a genuine love for his art. It’s transparent and basically 2 FX loops one HPF and one LPF so you can merge your drive with a modulator and have all the low end in the world, I suppose it’s a LS-2 on steroids with a bit more flexibility. I was really impressed, again great quick answers and the no Quibble 14 day return and 5 year warranty. I pulled the trigger again (the other being the Demon Pedals Parvati in the previous new topic) I have 2 pedals I would love to combine with what I already have. Watch this space!
7. Guys, I have stumbled across a company in Germany making from what I can see are real quality pedals. http://demonpedals.com/epages/eb631e44-0e25-4e1a-8303-e6b1a20c5f45.mobile/en_US/?ViewObjectID=15849353 https://youtu.be/QvEj3wIyDqY http://youtu.be/QvEj3wIyDqY The you tube clip is of a pedal they did called Mattrix, which they have now discontinued, but has been improved to the one they call Parvati. It’s got a switch to choose either silicone,Germanium or no clipping. I think the voicing sounds tight and focussed with the low end really hanging through. First drive pedal I have been excited for for a while. Also 14 day no quibble return for a full refund, 5 year warranty. In addition when I contacted them on their Facebook page I got an answer within 20 mins and it was 10pm. They seem genuine guys. I pulled the trigger and it’s coming soon I’ll let you guys know what the deal is!
8. Slight bias on maker choice there....
9. Well worked out buddy, sorry you had to go through all that.
10.
But with due respect to Alex, he's unlikely to be recommending a Berg, TKS or Vanderkley I suspect I'm sure you'll have already seen the BF vs VK thread and some very useful comments in that also.
OP wanted advice on BF cabs, who better than Alex. Once he has that recommendation he can then look elsewhere if he wants and compare. It’s a good solid starting point
11. You are gonna get a load of responses here, and I am a big fan of the Barefaced Supertwin. I really suggest you email Alex Claber at Barefaced telling him what you want, you cannprob arrange a phone call and he will ask you your requirements, be warned it is a stern examination of what gear you have, what you want your sound to be like and venues you play etc. And he will come out with a good recommendation of the appropriate cab, he’s genuinely pretty spot on
12. I used to Live in Norfolk so I may start my own Luvvie club. Brother Cam, one day i’ll Join the fun. I also have some new pedal joy coming my way shortly.....
13. Never mind bitcrush I see a lot of Man crushes going on. Getting a bit jealous over here about you luvvies in the Capital City!
14. Can we rent those massive sumo suits or maybe a huge jelly wrestling pit and get Bas and Alex to thrash it out mano to mano and to the winner goes the spoils That really would be a good Basschat Bash
15. Glad you guys had fun and time well spent to make your decision as well as make a new connection with each other. 7 pages of chat later i’m Sure you’ve come to the conclusion I told you you would Bas from the start!!! Seriously though, thanks for both your work and everyone’s contributions, it’s informative reading. Just goes to show it’s a photo finish against 2 quality manufacturers
16. Just heard from Tech21 dUg pedal will be at NAMM in January and released shortly after
17. Can I add for people looking at it out there it had IMHO one of the best sounding bridge pick ups you will hear.
18. I suppose in their defence most of the R&D would be on the amp, next generation may well be better, but probably if you need a DI a dedicated one cannot be beaten

Well done lee650! Al-best thing is to organise the pedal chain as such so it won’t happen, but it’s only ever been minor when I have it a go to see
20. That’s correct the DI is affected by Volume and I think gain. They rectified this on the M500 but yes if you play with a distorted channel it will hiss, clean it’s not too bad actually and a reasonable DI in terms of quality
21. Haeussel pick ups are the absolute beans. I have a set of Js in one of my sandberg basses, and compared to my other J by Sandberg which has in house pups it has more output and more mid presence in a wonderfully pleasing way. That bass will be mint

It’s all on the instructions, I can’t remember but basically pick one about the same size as the screw! It’s absolutely fine. DC5 comes with a template telling you where to drill, proper easy
