Gorilla tape to get you by for a gig, but drilling is no issue at a later date, it’s super easy. The holes are drilled, the power source secured, you then run the velco strip along the rail over the screws and no one knows or sees it and it does not affect the pedals in any way 2 small holes does not affect the integrity of the board or its strength, and if you were selling it second hand I can’t see how someone would suggest knocking a massive amount off compared to one in equally as good condition less the holes, esp if covered by velcro. I have done it also with bigger pedaltrains for a bracket. IMHO it’s a non issue, I can see how pristine gear shows someone looked after their stuff, but it’s almost like saying the feet on the board should be perfect, it will just get a bit of use/abuse Oh and drill through the tape!
2. Had one of them It’s a cracker, shame I am too puny to drag it around
3. Glad to hear that and let the fun begin!
4. Remember also about the Hartke EQ Flat is Bass and Treble at 3 and mids at 10 Dunno if that helps
5. From my small knowledge i would def go for the OTB - that will be immense. At the risk of being vilified, MB cabs can be a little wooly or boxy in the mids, so that judicious EQ will be needed. Punch is king here i reckon, but sounds like you are well on the way
6. I have made mine fart out when pushed, vol wasn't maxed on it, but i did have a pre amp pedal. Its worth emailing them to find out, but their cones are a bit stiff so it does not surprise me it farts, but yours seems to be doing it a little early. Be worth finding out what they say. Is this just your practice rig or what you maybe take out?
7. The above is so true, especially a sound where you think its sounds a bit poo and harsh on its own. Lozz loves a P, and i will gentlemanly disagree with him about needing a P. You can get where you need to be with a Jazz and slight favouring of the bridge Pup for the bite, but i depends on what else you have pumping the sound. Personally i have a Hartke VXL into a Cali76G (bit of germanium grit) into a Two Notes LeBass with passive Jazz bass and it does it for me. What is your set up?
8. Welcome to the real world!! Firstly, if you like fingers, stay with it, plenty use fingers Robert Trujillo of Metallica for one and he is a beast. Where you have come from is a bass heavy music, so instead of accentuating a big low end, dial it back a bit and give the hi mids a push, but this will depend on where your guitarists are. Have they got massive humbuckers in Les Pauls pushing a big sound? If so there will be a sonic space you can occupy and lock in with the kick drum which will push your bass through. I would steer clear of effects to start, a good clean bass sound will be what you need, especially if your guitars are distorting. If you listen to Pantera for example, that’s fairly heavyweight, but the bass is clean as a whistle. Sure you will enjoy this, it’s a great genre
9. Yep Saw that I am a-watching and a-waiting
10. sounds good to me son, well done, love the lights going in time with your fingers

Lee. Is have a DC5 I got the correct cable to summate the mA (not voltage) to run my Two Notes at 500mA. I also run my Cali76G at 18v flicking the switch on one output, and with or without a bit of daisy chain I run an MXR bass chorus deluxe, TC polytune and Hartke VXL Preamp with no sweat, all at correct voltage and mAs ratings It’s a great power brick, I know Dannybuoy said you can run things at a lower current draw, which is fine but you should be able to run things at their prescribed level easily. You should be able to use a stack voltage cable also and summate the mAs to daisy chain
12. make some lego stilts so you are taller to look down on the amp
13. Sid, eloquent as ever and thanks for that, its a real gem of a review and sounds like a real gem of an amp. I reckon you should have your own youtube channel. I can't, i have a face for radio......
14. Is that a childs 9 or big boy sizes Sid........
15.
You need to try a Hudson Broadcast pushing into the front end of those. Lovely stuff
Thats the boy! You love that Broadcast! Glad to hear from our mutual friend you are well
16. http://ashdownmusic.com/products/1/Bass-Amplification/17/Signature-Series-/183/Head-of-Doom/ Oh my, it has a sub harmony generator. It’s black It’s effing cool, and i’m Not an ashdown man and it gives me goosebumps
17. Agreed I have had the 3 bolt ASATs and 6 bolt L1500 Good basses. If you like a thin neck go for a #8 PJ is a #12 Baseball bat #7 but shallow enough to be comfortable, it’s like a very old fashioned P
18. Brilliant, you have to run them together, the Hartke gives the Two notes some extra juice to work with to give a very pleasing sound IMO. I use this combination with my passive jazz, it probably works less well with my p bass or other higher outputs basses I have used
19. If you still have the Hartke run it before the Two Notes, I know i do and you can get further sound combinations which are a real treat
20. Good lad! Welcome to the club
21. Just to add to the reasons behind slap especially in the R&B, rap genre. The percussive technique of slap was also primarily developed to combat having the lack of a drum kit, the bass was doing the bass line and the drum job. Similar to how Rap and hip hop got into sampling, simply because the original pioneers did not have easy access to ‘real’ instruments to make music, hence things were sampled and patched together
22. It could just be the way I dialled it in, and my heavy handed playing, but I don’t think you will get a bad sound out of it combining the 2 Be interesting to see how you do
