@Sarlscharisma - don't worry you will enjoy it, and its a damn fine looking one as well. The number 8 neck is super silky smooth and fast. It's a real head turner in looks and power in the pick ups will blow you away. Let's hope parcelforce take as much care of it as i did and you will
  2. Bought a Batefaced Cab off this gentleman, as it said on the tin, great guy and a pleasure to deal with
  3. Bought a lava cable and a super symmetry compressor from this gentleman. A pleasure to deal with, fast delivery and accurate description of items
  4. As much as I love buying gear, occasionally I have to sell. Feedback please from those I have dealt with.
  5. I thought I would prefer the VMT channel, but actually I prefer the b3K, you may find the same. It certainly is great to tinker with though
  6. Agreed I have a MarloweDK and it is the beans. Same can be said for G&L too
  7. Not had an orange terror, but a similar set up I can relate to you. I had the DG B7K and VMT pedals infront of a Hartke LH1000 as well as other things like a Two Notes Le Bass which has some EQ facilities. I then bought the M900 getting rid of the Hartke and also because the amp engine is so good I have gotten rid of the b7k and probably will get rid of the VMT, but it's harder to sell, and I also may have found a use for it. Basically if you like the amp I say get it, I don't think you will replicate the sound you like with a combination, it will be close though, but not quite a cigar
  8. This is the kind of stuff you should not tell me. I have 2 ASATs one being semi hollow and an L1500. I recently strayed from G&L for a Sandberg Jazz bass (which is phenomenal) but always wondered about the LB100. If only the money tree existed....
  9. This is a lovely bass and Pinball is a gentleman Come on guys!
  10. I'll be popping along First ever time
  11. Bristol all good too, taking me back to the MIlton Keynes Bowl gig
  12. I have no experience of it, but would the Phil Jones Ear Box be a good fit in this situation?
  13. Oh and why? DUg has got tone for days, sits in that pocket and rolls the song, Glenn much the same with such verve and groove. They both also sing. It's all what I aspire to be able to do
  14. All day every day dUg Pinnick with Glenn Hughes riding very close
  15. So many journeys here! I have added a few bits and bobs but here is my 50p's worth on top. I have 3 pristine basses, bought second hand Pristine and will try to keep them that way. Why did I buy the G&Ls - because I like their sound and look of course. I have just bought a Sandberg MarloweDK second hand, it is relic'd, whether you like it or not, but I bought it as primarily I liked the sound and feel of that particular model, pick up configuration etc. Yes it has been roadworn, but I will try to keep it in the condition I received it and hence pristine. I suppose the next thread will be is anyone getting bored of basses with pick guards as essentially they have no use, and are trying to hark back to an old era where even their use for noise cancelling was dubious anyway
  16. So far as out the tap, don't have the Guinness at the Bierkeller in Bristol, it tastes of cider, I don't know what's gone on in those taps.... There is a widget of sorts, then they 'excite' the particles after pouring from the can by placing on some vibratory electrical current thing, first time I had this I was mortified and it was not great. Bit of trivia, approx 32 pints of Guinness a day gives all the vitamins and nutrients one needs rendering food optional...
  17. We could make it about Guinness from a can, Guinness from a bottle, Guinness on draft and Guinness from a can and then 'excited' on that thing to make it froth a bit. The best Guinness is the one from the old pipes where the iron leached in and you got your nutrients. It was freshly made, but run through old pipes, does that make it roadworn....?!
  18. Don't forget to look on TB at basses for sale across the water. I got 1 of my G&Ls from there and including shipping and taxes it was still cheaper than if it was over here
  19. Precision type say G&L LB100 for a more vintage vibe, more modern go to SB-1, PJ go for an SB-2. If you like a tele body get a G&L ASAT, you get close to a P sound with the neck pick up. I have a solid and a semi hollow one, they are fantastic
  20. I think we get the picture on relic'd finishes now from the masses, but some manufacturers 'artificially' age the wood. Obviously this happens also in furniture etc. If the wood for the bass is 'aged' but the finish is not relic'd does this count as a relic'd bass and is this acceptable knowing that of course the tone of wood changes with time and you can achieve an 'older' tone earlier in a bass guitars journey
  21. Robot Lords of Tokyo Just a great name and the band is not half bad either
