  1. No doubting that, I would love to, but not sure I can justify this and my dUg amp.....:
  2. Square burgers and a damn fine chilli as well
  3. Wendy’s Canadian Charcoal Grill If we had Big Kahuna - that would be the holy trinity
  4. Haha - she’s not an ex and you are now dating the mum? That would be the cherry on the cake!
  5. Fan-knee gets changed to craddock - love it
  6. Have you spelt dido correct, is it missing a letter.......?!
  7. It was actually Stanley but it didn’t rhyme with fan and craddock may create the wrong impression like an Enid Blyton Famous five novel names
  8. Extra cash on top is it not for coming from EU?
  9. Sorry to hear that pal, but you could pick Chris Eubanks nostrils even with a splint
  10. Halt all proceedings for I have found it
  11. I think you are asking an HPW leopard to change its spots.......
  12. Whoever gets this regardless of taste (or lack of!) in PG will get a stonker, and as it mellows from whit to more yellowy, it gets even better
  13. Gisser D is da man - I do like a white and Olive/Mint combo lovely bass
  14. Of course J’s can be stacked dual coil. Glad to know the Fisher price picture guide to pick ups hasn’t refuted my claims
  15. Pretty sure I am not alone, pretty sure you are referring to me, pretty sure I am correct in it’s nomenclature unless you can show me evidence otherwise?! Hum Bucker - is bucking the hum (or cancelling) which was achieved by a split coil moving on from the single coil. A P is a dual coil - split - a humbucker side by side is just that, and that gives you the option of running series/parallel/individual and is humbucking/cancelling. The split coil allows you to the EA-DG strings differently depending on ‘normal’ or reverse config, but some Humbuckers or soap bars also give you this split coil type option as well. The Musicman Pick up or MM is not just for Musicman basses - it’s just been given that name - the original prototype Stingray was actually using a Split coil bass down by our Leo. This is what I though is commonly understood information/chat, parlance is by far too complex a word for me to understand and clearly obfuscates the isuue discombobulates me. So @Al Krow I am happy to be wrong, and if so point me in the direction to re-educate me, but I find knowing the stuff helps to make appropriate decisions and suggestions.
  16. But where does insight into one’s behaviour begin and end......
  17. Cheers - it was fun to do - i did use ‘high end’ parts, but its pretty frugally done if you are prepped to wait and shop around - I think to get something of very decent quality you are looking at at least £400
  18. USA fender Highway One body secondhand- 120 Seymout Duncan Rickenbacker pick ups - under 100 (cant remember exact price!) Schaller 3D bridge - about 50 Hipshot tuners about 40 Stellartone tonestyler duo 6 plate - under 100 Thats a status P neck, but its off now and i may pop a Maple with black blocks or get a status Jazz - decent neck £1-300 Routing and body work - free coz i did it! It’s the nuts and i really need to pop a neck on it again - you can do real quality very reasonable
  19. And if its 5hitty and low down gritty, thats tough bitty
  20. Don’t you worry, a P on its own can get very gritty!
  21. Booo - broke his heart on Valentine’s Day - meanie peanie
  22. .....but Dave - spot on - you will struggle to find a better classic Split coil than the Creamery pick up and it’s very very reasonably priced and worth the wait. If I was building basses (properly) they would be my go to pick up as standard.
  23. It’s a very good suggestion, and 1 I endorse. I deliberately didn’t suggest that in this instance as I know @Al Krow likes in general to have an active bass with on board EQ, 3 band the most likely culprit, likes a bass to be stock and un modded and as he doesn’t solder would need to have the work done by someone else hence extra expense and has a load of options in the amp and pedal department that would achieve what he wants - in all likelihood.....
  24. That’s fine, no one is suggesting to go back there - but there is variety in the Delano range which are different just as in any range. Crucially I have used them with some of the exact same equipment you have and know exactly what is possible 😉
