  1. More TE heft chat again no doubt.....🤦🏾‍♂️
  2. Remember it’s how you pair with an onboard pre amp or external one is the key as well as your playing style, and I would say more than other basses they are sensitive to the strings used, you may het the best out of it with not your normal string choice. There are other preamps like Noll they can put in, Noll is another German manufacturer and their pre-amps are a bit harsher and have more guts than Delano. I will pick up on the MM pick up - it’s never meant to sound like a Ray pick up - it’s in a different place and does not have the same preamp - it’s there to add more clarity and cut to whatever is in the neck position
  3. I found one I wrote a while ago - so excuse the copy paste...... I should probably save the post I wrote on this, as I have replicated it a number of times, so........This is all preamp aside Delano - hifi, not sterile, more modern sounding, great clarity, fine to use with effects but you have to know what you want to do Sandberg - I am pretty sure at some point there was a generational shift, but, more classic/vintage sounding, lower output, but just the right output to play with pre amps etc and not overload the front end like the G&L MFD pick ups do - very very good sounding, but I think their split coil is the weakest of the lot (dunno why, not as good as their jazz) Sandberg black label - as above but with even more punch and zing, more of a modern nod and a real punch to the guts - especially good in with SL basses, as they need more oomph being lightweight - very very good pick ups Haüssel-like the sandberg ones on steroids, huge balls and character and they also do a big pole version I have used in another bass - so much beef that Jon Snow, the TT which @DJ’65 has now solo’d on the neck is practically a P bass sound - very good pick ups, slightly harder to tame with pre-amps etc. very quick overview IMHO
  4. Haha cheers Dave - lemme have me tea first then I’ll trot out me lowdown!
  5. Each of them is a sleeping pod for the tour members
  6. Where in Canada? If you are a hop skip from Chicago then Chicago Music Exchange used to stock them. Build quality - never doubt it - phenomenal as is the care they give to customers
  7. It’s a weird one - me too to look at - to play the new one makes massive sense
  8. I agree - Stone Broken along that mode too whoa are very good live
  9. Ah I misread you when you said the DP3X was the only pedal in the chain - I thought it was the only thing
  10. Defo slug as that is just the pedal and maybe one of the others to see how it differs through an amp
  11. Like them all - anything is cool -
  12. Cheers - even just 20-30 secs. It sounds great, nicely mixed and good old fashioned rock!
  13. Can I be cheeky and ask you to post a snippet of isolated bass? I always like to hear how stuff works in isolation and in a great mix - if it’s not possible or you don’t want to - no offence
  14. You never know you may see one second hand or in a shoppe over here you like - keep the faith
  15. Bring me back something nice then, and not just a crappy postcard like the last time please - thanks
  16. The initial statement by yourself earlier came across that a 4 ohm cab is significantly louder than an 8 ohm cab - that is incorrect. Perceptible volume increase with a 1x12 vs a 2x12 is entirely feasible due to the second speaker. You did mention the 2 together, but even that does not necessarily mean it’s significantly louder. We can spare the physics as per your request (the linear relationship comment was a nod towards this) but as we all know threads do meander on and off topic and debate is welcomed by all, especially to correct something not quite precise and correct so as not to perpetuate ‘myths’. I am sure you would agree that is reasonable, as well as to find out what the heads are like
  17. You did
  18. A 4 ohm cab is not significantly louder, the relationship is not linear without taking into account all the other things involved with cabs
  19. Mesa is a great amp, if it’s your fave why not use that? Things like Gator soft rack cases which have wheels make it a breeze to transport
  20. This is right up your street bro
  21. Impressive for sure and Nat Nav is one of the best demo guys out there
  22. Very broadly speaking - compression at its best is probably not noticeable when on, but when not used is definitely noticeable if you get my drift. @Osiris is entirely correct on what he says, and he is humble and knows his onions too
  23. It’s just knobs, circuit boards, potentiometers, switches and capacitors - you are only limited by cavity space as to what you can fit in, you can even drill more holes if you like or rout more space, use stack knobs etc. Its pretty easy to work out with some research and not that hard to fit
  24. Get a MarloweDK in the colour you want?
  25. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CKwSHn1nfpT/?igshid=1wm33i16uk6na this looks very very good
