  1. Saw him live with this twice actually - its phenomenal
  2. Trapeze can do little wrong, Glenn (bass and vocals wise) can do no wrong at all
  3. That corresponds to a 3-10-0 - happily corrected, I ran my treble at about 2/3 - but that’s just me
  4. No disagreement there from me - but I got my LH1000 for about £150 second hand with a rackmount case, and I could tickle a little out the EQ for me - bargain overall
  5. We posted at the same time - but I see that now and makes sense
  6. Cheers chaps and chapess - good looking machines them - the NS is my fave with the bevelled curved to it
  7. That’s great - I would love that headstock on a non EUB - would be a sleek machine
  8. I really like that - what does the whole bass look like please?
  9. If you are using a decent preamp infront of it then it will project it well enough - that’s mainly how I used it
  10. Great amps, good decision. I thought flat was 2-10-2 though.........
  11. They wrote it wrong on the packet as well???!!
  12. Sorry if it’s me sounding dumb, but it’s defo active? has a battery compartment and premp on its innards etc?
  13. Bit harsh, they do limited runs of stuff (sandblasted for example), but I sort of know what you mean. You need a bit of patience to tease out the goodness of the fidelitron pick up, it’s a bit low output, but you have the option of upgrading to a TV Jones Filtertron, probably a lollar or T bird type pick up and do any routing you fancy. Its well made and that neck despite being on the wide side at the nut has a shallow profile and is very playable
  14. Demeter Minnie 800D But - if you are taking your own cab then having that lift you may as well have a small amp of your choice and sufficient power should you not? Or it can be plopped on the backline cab. How much pedal tap dancing do you do? If it’s set and forget pop everything in a wheeled rackmount case like Gator do for ease of transport and then mostly any amp is useable, even something like a QSC power amp. Thays a 1 drag/carry solution
  15. I know what you mean - hear enough isolated tracks you start to get a feel of what stuff will sound like once stripped back
  16. Good job sir! Each to their own, but I can’t see what the difference between a de-fretted neck and a neck made without frets is, granted it depends where your dot/markers are be they middle of the frets or on the actual fret - once you learn where they are, you know how to play it. If there are no or very little bases fretless in the model someone wants, but a plethora of fretted ones, and the cost to de-fret is less than buying a whole new bass, makes perfect sense. Buy a second neck and have one of each
  17. Ebony is generally harder wearing than rosewood for example, but is tonally different and more like maple. All depends if you want a darker or brighter tone, or what look you want as well. Look after the wood, use flatwounds, I can’t see it being a problem. Why Ebony above another wood?
  18. Luthier - if it’s a keeper, worth the cost
  19. Get a fretted one of choice, pull the frets out
  20. You’ll have fun - there is no right or wrong settings on either one or order - so many variables at play, but as ever with T21 dials a little goes a long way so the only thing I would defo advise is small turns at a time, when you get ear fatigue, step away for a few mins and return or you will lose definition. Nowt wrong with clank into clank either!
