Yeah I got lucky about 3-4 years ago and caught them in Bristol when they only played 3 U.K. dates. I had been lined up to see them in Cardiff, postponed once due to ill health, and then definitively with the pandemic, I thought that would have been my last chance as they are getting on a bit despite dUg looking good for 70, but we can hope

Kings X love a year ago 12ver for 3 songs at 35mins if peeps don’t want to listen to the full concert (why I dunno?!?!!) on Pray, Black Flag, Lost in Germany. This is the bass Yamaha made for him, similar shape - uses the same pick up as in the schecter one

Welcome to me bubble

Haha - I may lend you the Hamer! Surely 1 12ver is not enough?!

On the albums he tends to use it on one of 2 songs per album, same live as well

Some VERY good news at last - live music back by the Spring?
Cuzzie replied to Al Krow's topic in General Discussion
As someone who’s Grandfather won the Military Cross in WW2, and close friends recently and currently active in the military this day does not go unnoticed, but I do not think the post by @peteb denigrates this, with no disrespect to those that fought and currently fight we can speak about war in a non romantic way I have also lost a family member in the first wave of the pandemic. Compare a pandemic with a pandemic, there are plenty examples in history to compare it to. Again, I think we all hope for some kind of normality -

Yep sorry my fault, just like those beauticians or other people that go on a 1 day Botox and filler course, claim they are trained and royally Bollox people up. None of the people exercising caution have not got optimism in their voices for the Pfizer, Jenner/Oxford trial etc. to be close and working, and we all hope music is back ASAP. 15 million people does sound like a lot of people to be treated and it’s good, but honestly the logistics are not easy where the system has to also treat as many other things as possible. The knock in effect for other conditions including cancer by this is tremendous, are you going to pull more nurses out of cancer care for example to supervise injections? What’s your supervision ratio for the newly qualified injection technicians? Time line of the spring is what I would baulk at, if we can get a good summer, that is more realistic, and most people sorted before the next winter bout of diseases hits. -

I don’t mind a glass half full approach, but the other half needs to be realistic. Who do you think staffs the Nightingale hospitals, testing centres, GP nurses? If a normal hospital is full of patients and running on as much staff as possible as even staff may need to isolate, have leave etc. Even if there are no staff away, they cannot magic up a bucketload of staff for the nightingale, they have to pull main hospital staff out to run it leaving other places stretched and depleted, and knackering staff who are already full time by trying to get them to work overtime. If you did nothing else but this, yep I get you, but Cancer, Trauma etc work is still carrying on -
Singing technique and stuff about how you sing
Cuzzie replied to police squad's topic in General Discussion
Great microphones, Shure are fine, but I think they tested on their laurels and took their eye off the game, Sennheiser are producing some very stellar pieces of equipment and probably pip them IMHO. I use an e935 and love it, but it’s very on axis, and I almost have to be kissing the microphone for the best result for me. The big thing about having one like that I had to learn was how you rotate your head to look at your fingers occasionally on the fretboard. Similar to what you describe about flexing your neck to get a different sound I actually have the mic coming from below pointing up so that I can get above it for that reason, or sit level with it normally -

Good on you! I struggle to call myself a singist, but I seem to be given the job when the cards are dished around. I used to sing when young in a choir, but didn’t train my voice through it breaking. You probably know this but it’s the diaphragm sing that is the key, not choking it up all in the throat, that will allow the breath control for not just power, but also gentle vocals. Make sure you’re mic suits your vocals and how you attack it, on axis, off axis so from Sub Cardioid through to Hyper Cardioid as well as the type of vocals you do, do you want it flat or an increased response in a certain range. In line with this, to help soften your voice, learn your distance from the mic - so you could be singing at the same volume, but moving further away will naturally soften it, or if belting one out, move away to keep the volume level similar. I often play down half a step or even a whole step as it can increase your range and ability. Pick songs that suit you, not just to play, but to sing, it’s fun, keep it that way! I mess between breathy or nasal or deep from the guts type stuff to see how it goes, and always throw a little falsetto and vibrato in for fun! Probably not much help! -

Must exercise caution until the final results are through, the roll out plan for these vaccines will take absolutely ages by the time you go for priority cases, NHS staff, key workers etc. But it’s still decent news -
I think the problem comes sometimes with their accessibility and how good it is normally. They are very personable, but you cannot place an order directly with them, it does have to go through a partner/distributor etc. So any issues with an order placed, should go through the place where the order has come from, there will be a trail and a process to follow. If steps are skipped, then maybe it gets messy and more convoluted, i dunno, it is rare though

Thats 7.20 European time, they are slipping............

Aye, there will be variation between Sandberg, Sandberg black label, Delano, Haüssel, Kloppman, Glock pre-amp, no preamp (as the common ones) strings used, which model which denotes pick up placement (even sig models which look the same as standard have subtly different pick up placement) and that’s before you factor in your amp......
-
Sorry you had a bad deal with them, but glad you have an awesome instrument. It does sound a convoluted pathway, and if there is any delay in the loop it will be compounded. I will respectfully disagree about them all being bright though, I have played a load that aren’t, my MarloweDK defo isnt

The more and more I play these synth type sounds, What’s really important aside from a good sound is technique, and employing a different technique from how you may normally play and tweak the parameters slightly to suit whether you have sausage fingers giving you more bass or pipe cleaners. This goes hand in hand with what @Quatschmacher says about controlling the envelope - the pedal or patch won’t do it alone
-
Aye that’s a neat trick, but we’ll get told off for yet more spending! I was just putting out there what could be done with equipment we already own, but the real important one as you point out is assigning functionality to those big knobs on the pedal which are easy to see and turn - that is a real handy thing which requires the minimum of PC editing skills
-
A decent chunk of people buying/using midi enabled pedals looking for a sound like this, will already be having or accounting for having a midi pedal, they can do so much more than just scrolling and you bc an combine midi and non midi pedals. Another easy work around is to have the app open on your phone/pad/computer and attached to the pedal. The app has your own library of saved sounds, or the sounds listed - select the sound, it’s good to go. Not really sure why there is a constant weight placed on PC editing or not PC editing - it’s there if you want to do it, but if you don’t want to, these pedals where it can be done are more than adequate with stock sounds and available ones. If people prefer ‘dials’ then granted they are not physical ones but the Neuroapp uses dials. With or without it there a good pedals on the market, but it doesn’t ‘detract’ from them if they have it.
-
Thats a misunderstanding of the pedal and software. The software to edit in the app be it iphone/iPad/Mac/PC is free. You have access via the community online via this software to download any sound anyone has placed on there, so if you are daunted by PC editing, don’t be, the likelihood is that either SA, SA artists/affiliates, or normal Joe public will have that sound covered you can learn from and tweak the parameters to your liking. You can of course create your own sound from scratch very easily. The pedal has 6 sounds you can access by flicking switched on the pedal You only need the neurohub for midi and the other about 128 storage places, and of course linking other midi pedals in the SA range. You can use the pedal with disaster area midi devices without the Neurohub Its done wired, not wirelessly for sounds
