  1. Tech21 dUg Ultrabass - does everything with clarity, clean through too overdrive incorporating a nice ‘tube’ type tone, 2 channels mixed and the ‘distortion’ channel can be set just to be crystal clear and clean to augment the lows. Form Factor Bi1000 is a wonderfully articulate amp, clean, musical EQ but does not really colour the sound, can make other amps sound like fisher price alternatives Hartke LH1000 - it’s a beast, I loved the Hartke/Fender tone stack - simple and it executes Genzler Magellan 800 - best organic drive sound on an amp on the market, beautiful piece of kit. For me dUg amp rules them all
  2. Hi beams are the way to go IMO
  3. Configure a bass, save the code generated, email Sandberg with tweaks, see where it goes, they can accommodate most things, but there will be upcharges, and yes they do light relic through to masterpiece and of course no relic
  4. Does the head slide out the combo?
  5. Go both aesthetics and sound the black labels rule
  6. Something a bIt like this....?
  7. Or if they sell their 48 pickups you can have that look as the neck is a split coil in that housing
  8. Could be cool - I would square rout the P pick up so you could reverse the P and get a new pickguard cut to cover it. As for emailing Sandberg - depends what you want/need. Their black label pick ups are on Rockinger for sale, but the world is your oyster with pick ups and preamp!
  9. True - but only if I sell practically everything else! I am playing the odd scratch card tho.....
  10. Sandberg have been and are brilliant, loads of stories testament to that and @Tech21NYCare a fabulous company - very speedy and helpful with replies and information
  11. Have to agree with this sentiment, it’s not right. The guitarists I worked with are prolly better, don’t even think my singing is better than theirs but I am the one prepared to give it the beans and a go.

  13. Sounds an entirely sensible approach To prepare for all eventualities
  14. Love a router - have 2 - generally only use it as a finisher. I try to do all the grunt work before getting it out
  15. I never had a problem with the new ones and have fitted several
  16. I still harbour thoughts of a six pack, however something mildly beyond floppy will do in my middle age
  17. Pretty sure that’s what I said - and yes it’s true
  18. Roasting increases stability by removing moisture from the wood and altering the cellular structure to make it more mature - so it makes sense
  19. Basically speaking-The strength comes from the fact that being smaller/thinner bits of wood blues together if one of the pieces wants to warp Then there are ‘X’ other numbers keeping it in check, as well as carbon rods. 1 piece - if it wants to go, it goes and has little else to brace and stop it. There is of course 1 piece - 1 piece and 1 piece with a fingerboard which will behave slightly differently as well. Its the same as a 2 piece body being more stable than a single piece. Of course pairing woods of different properties, different batches helps
  20. I didn’t, but then again I am a bad man
