  1. Does the head slide out the combo?
  2. Go both aesthetics and sound the black labels rule
  3. Or if they sell their 48 pickups you can have that look as the neck is a split coil in that housing
  4. Could be cool - I would square rout the P pick up so you could reverse the P and get a new pickguard cut to cover it. As for emailing Sandberg - depends what you want/need. Their black label pick ups are on Rockinger for sale, but the world is your oyster with pick ups and preamp!
  5. True - but only if I sell practically everything else! I am playing the odd scratch card tho.....
  6. Sandberg have been and are brilliant, loads of stories testament to that and @Tech21NYCare a fabulous company - very speedy and helpful with replies and information
  7. Have to agree with this sentiment, it’s not right. The guitarists I worked with are prolly better, don’t even think my singing is better than theirs but I am the one prepared to give it the beans and a go.

  9. Sounds an entirely sensible approach To prepare for all eventualities
  10. Love a router - have 2 - generally only use it as a finisher. I try to do all the grunt work before getting it out
  11. I never had a problem with the new ones and have fitted several
  12. I still harbour thoughts of a six pack, however something mildly beyond floppy will do in my middle age
  13. Pretty sure that’s what I said - and yes it’s true
  14. Roasting increases stability by removing moisture from the wood and altering the cellular structure to make it more mature - so it makes sense
  15. Basically speaking-The strength comes from the fact that being smaller/thinner bits of wood blues together if one of the pieces wants to warp Then there are ‘X’ other numbers keeping it in check, as well as carbon rods. 1 piece - if it wants to go, it goes and has little else to brace and stop it. There is of course 1 piece - 1 piece and 1 piece with a fingerboard which will behave slightly differently as well. Its the same as a 2 piece body being more stable than a single piece. Of course pairing woods of different properties, different batches helps
  16. I didn’t, but then again I am a bad man

  19. I would certainly use them as a first port of call - the neck as you know is a split coil housed in that housing and the bridge a Humbucker, of course if you can get the metal housing off, or get one the same size you could put whatever you want underneath it. Sandberg are pretty good at looking after you. If it’s a no go, a decent pick up person I am sure will be able to help, but I cannot see Sandberg not helping out
  20. It certainly is interesting, and it’s always good to have ‘spare’ on tap to use, but it is still approx £2-250 more than a stomp. Using the cost/value logic (which is often brought up) it needs to be approx 50-60% better to be of decent value-or of course it could just be your preferred format, and you absorb the cost because of it, which is fine. Using the same metrics the Fractal FM3 which has 48 blocks (still has 3 footswitches and about the same number of knobs and Just as many of not more cabs/sims etc) is equally as good value At about 50% more than the Boss. The power supply is a non issue as you can use an extension chord (which i am sure everyone has) and a True Tone One Spot Plug which does for 1700mA and costs £20 - so no need for an expensive power brick. Its noice to have choice
