Brown......

DR’s are just about the best out there
-
Agree with most things, but not every distortion does - some have a cross over keeping the low end, but what you say holds water and finding a pedal that blends clean in, or one that keeps it
-
Fuzz can do that - keep as much clean low end as possible and blend the fuzz on top if you are mixed with other instruments-if you are solo - be as fuzzy as you want. Clean low end can be achieved depending on the pedal or splitting your signal
-
I don’t mind - you are a good lad - was minimal fuss 👊🏾 at least you held onto that bass for a while.....

Or getting me to do your dirty work again....

No worries 👌🏾🤘🏾👊🏾

For me I like the jazz tip Dava picks because of the rubber grip, doesn’t slip out. If you want you can flip it and use the rubber surface to hit the strings and you get more into Motown territory

Happy to send him a message with your email/phone number if you want and you can take it from there

No worries - basically I had them on my Status Stealth Bass when it came from the previous owner, nice on the finger, fine windings and a light gauge - did have some bite to them on over drive - I changed them out to my usual Rounds (DR Hi Beam) defo more nite and you got more overdrive out of them. It’s not that the TI are bad, but they Bridge that gap between flats and aggressive rounds -

Those TI jazz rounds are not harsh rounds if you get my drift and are probably between the 2 of rounds and flats -

Thomastik Infeld jazz rounds may fit the bill -
I got that, but tried to cover both angles saying that you can get a great finish with a can too

If you want it to relic back, surely you don’t want a very pro finish on it, is it not better to spend £10-20 On a ratttle cam from Dartfords? You can still achieve a high quality finish with these if you want

Are Amps and Cabs still a thing moving forward?
Cuzzie replied to dmdavies's topic in General Discussion
No axe to grind either way, I’ve seen good and bad sound from IEM and non IEM using bands. What I think is important (for big bands) is probably Their own engineer and a good in house engineer who knows the venue, how the sound behaves depending on capacity. Two of the best sounding gigs I have been to over the past couple years were both where artists were not using IEMs - great mix, great volume levels -

My comment was poor attempt at humour again - with teething problems they send a tooth, if they make a boob of a Coq-up of your Order.....
