Does anyone use an iPad for their set lists and crib sheets?
Cuzzie replied to Old Horse Murphy's topic in General Discussion
I should say, attempt to sing..... -
Haha, yeah yeah, and bits and tools etc.

If @Jabba_the_gut doesn’t mind, DM me your email and I will forward what he wrote for me. Not being deliberately coy, it’s just got pictures and stuff so not as easy to copy paste

I would have, but I got the program inbetween rehearsal and gig, with no prior timing of songs! I will give it a go next time possibly, but I am not using it as an autocue, I find it impossible to read moving text, play and sing at the same time, I try to have the lyrics as learnt but a wee prompt, with other things like any changes. I can see it would be great if properly set up -

I started doing that, in the app you can link it to the original song time from spotify or wherever. Some songs we had Re-arranged timings, lengths etc. For me it was easier to press a button at the end of each chorus/verse I also popped a clear page between songs reminding me of any tuning changes etc easy to build multiple set lists, dates, different bands etc -

I have used On Song as well and the ik media Bluetooth foot controller. On song you can reverse the colour so it’s in a negative and is easy on a dark stage and reduces glare on you. Key Changes, chords etc are very easy to annotate on it. I was using it for vocals to make sure I didn’t forget as playing and had each verse per page to make it big. You can have it so it scrolls in the app according to time of the song, but I had a verse per page and just scrolled a page using the Bluetooth controller its great -
Yep saw that earlier, I’m liking these little videos actually
-
I don’t disagree with any of the above - The bass is a very very good shell to pop your imprint on - most modifications we have spoken about are completely reversible, so on sale is not a problem, just pop it back to stock. Glock is a good preamp as stated
-
Second hand vs new Seem to be more active ones about , and if you can get a good deal on a Second hand one but tinker with the electronics it makes sense as you can sell the preamp, pick ups off etc. And offset the cost. If you can spec your passive sandberg from new, and want a new bass, that’s easy enough to do as well.

Lucky score on ebay

Okee dokee for @JohnDaBass I have recorded the bass for people, it’s 9 mins worth so be prepared to use it for sleep purposes. Its a really versatile warm sounding pick which chugs nicely I believe, and is quiet as a church mouse. The pick up recorded The order Is always finger then pick Stellartone Bass ten Tonestyler always 4 clicks From wide open, which will give a flavour of a decent tone roll off. Straight into Logic Pro X via a focusrite Flat Flat and Tonestyler SVT setting on Tech21 PSA 2.0 SVT and Tonestyler DP3X DP3X and Tonestyler If that makes sense Same REM song REM Telebass.m4a

Status Graphite the only remaining option for graphite bass necks?
Cuzzie replied to HazBeen's topic in Bass Guitars
It’s tough, I love a bit of graphite and Status hits all the spots for me, but I suppose similar to you the idea of experimenting and something different appeals. For me though, the cost of a graphite neck, is on the expensive side to get wrong is a nightmare esp if the dimensions are not easily Exchangeable with a status I know and love -
Parts are made in the East - all assembly and QC back in Germany, less colour and finish options hence lower cost, but quality still excellent

Gotcha If the 70s jazz sounds with more Bark is where you are at Then you need to look at the MarloweDK-it’s closer to the bridge for just that reason
-
Do it - you or it won’t regret it What you after?
-
The necks are pretty standard, the MarloweDK is defo thinner with a 37mm nut and maybe the Panther
-
Very very approachable and they will look after you. Best thing is to get a guitar as close as possible on the configurator and save the identifier number, then you can work in any further changes in discussions
-
Certain Sig models Also get treatment of some form such as the MarloweDK
-
Won’t disagree there - it defo makes a difference
-
Ooooo I like talking vibration and thermal treatment - such a good option

Four String Five String? Now NBD. Why is nobody surprised?
Cuzzie replied to Skinnyman's topic in General Discussion
If string spacing is your nemesis, but there is a bass you like you can always get said bass and pop something like a Schaller 3D bridge on it which allows you to set your string spacing, I did it when I routed a jazz to accept Rickenbacker pick ups -
Thanks for that - getting parts can be a pain and expensive so I tried making my own aside from a neck of course, if you have a friendly carpenter near you, you may be able to do one!

Another 27" Short Scale Mini Bass (but with LEDs)
Cuzzie replied to Jabba_the_gut's topic in Build Diaries
Looking good my man. How much Brass is in the inserts? I hear that brass is bad and more stainless steel the better. I couldn’t find any I was happy with either so I went normal for my last build
