I am with you on this - I have too many. The bought ones are rare, not classic or unicorns, but rare enough that since I bought them I haven’t seen another come up, and some others are bitsa’s I have done, or ones I have carved/made. I made them specifically for stuff I like and hence don’t want to let them go - I fear expansion is the only way like a good middle age man’s waistline
Just succumb- if you think about it, you have 14, when you are playing one there are only 13 sat there, not only is that unlucky, but one of them won’t have a pal to chat to - get another to bring balance to the force, and make it a Status
Aye, played so much the life was wrung out of it probably......!
Never said it was infallible, but balance of probabilities failure and warp rate will be less I would imagine. I imagine wood, wood and truss, wood and truss and carbon etc as you go up the pyramid.
The most in-tune guitar I have is the hohner headless - it can practically go on holiday from Sahara to Antarctic and barely change.
That ‘reporter’ is a plum.
If you really want to go after people, then it is those selling decals - no decals aftermarket - no ‘fake’ branded instruments.
What a bell end - someone got a guitar for £69 quid.....seems alright
Evidently in a jazz cavity its more linear in its rout, but the cavity itself should probably be wide enough, its just the curve that may require some creative knob placement - its almost as if an arrangement/pick guard like the Stingray 5 or HH basses would be required
Honestly it’s very very good indeed and super simple to do the final wiring, or in fact all the wiring.
Is your cavity under the pickguard continuous with the neck pick up?
If so you would probably have enough room to make a slit in one like you have.
Of course you would either have 1 redundant knob (as your Jack is in the body) or put the jack in the 3rd slot and leave the body hole redundant, or even convert to have a stereo output as well and combine the above?!
May be worth getting a crap cheap pickguard to butcher and try before getting a proper one
@krispn has done it with a Mike lull T bird pick up and he has put recordings it may be under P-Bird or Tonestyler or both - try a search
Its reet nice
He is a nice man that Jon Willis and he has shared all his presets.
His goal was to see if with one bass and a helix you can recreate a multitude of tones practically on the button.
He done alright and has showcased them here.
Good example of what spending time with a machine can deliver.
Yep - not perfect by any means - but you can get em reasonably priced and it comes usually with multiple connectors for different devices and needs no extra power supply.
Bit more bulky but you can get a cheap mixer like a xenyx 502 pop bass in a channel, phone or audio device in an aux in and headphones in that.
If it’s just a static device not for transport (as it’s bulkier than other listed here) it’ll do a job and may have other uses down the line, extra slots for other instruments/microphone
Been a while since I used it, but if I remember correctly it does, AmpliTube has some and you can use Garageband which is free and that has a tube amp which is actually pretty tasty - of course you can put any of your pre-amps etc you have in front of it.
Depends how many pedals you run.
If running an amp then a power socket will be in easy reach of the amp, and so a dUg pedal (if that is all you take) plugged in with its own supply, or a daisy chain off a 1 spot plug should suffice and be no issues.
Personally I have a rack for the head and tuner - Gator wheelie case - easy to transport.
So far as innards - the DG is pretty packed - it’s a fine line between fans or space for cooling, but also add in a tuner it takes up space for the DG would be higher/deeper/wider and if you pump a power supply people may complain of weight - I dunno
Trolley Dolly Rack back and with an amp like the DG - all pedals could prob fit in the bag, stuck/Velcro’s down and just the amp and rack tuner out front
