  1. Until you pop in passing my hoose get a play on a Tech21 dUg Ultrabass - made for Status...
  2. These are lovely lovely basses to play. Pre-amp aside it’s about the closest you will get in feel your the famous Entwistle Buzzard bass before Warwick royally messed that up. GLwTs
  3. Yep, don’t be fooled by big pole pieces, and a produced sound is not sterile either - it’ll be a machine no doubt - I’ve directly compared them to the small pole ones by Haüssels and other makes naturally. GLwTs
  4. It’s a killer bass, Stealth (headed) is me 🤘🏾
  5. Good man - I am a big believer in if you play out and about just go with it see what it does. Its quality, it’s never going to sound bad, so it’s not really a risk IMO! Thats a Stealth bass as well is it?! Hard pushed to get anything better
  6. Let’s not beat about the bush with those Haüssels-absolute phenomenal pick ups with have beef, punch and clarity and can also do refinement. Very noice
  7. Congrats - nothing better than getting some new kit and getting it straight out there, best way to do it. With a Status bass as well, it will be killer
  8. Saw this review on bass the world. Quite like the look of the 208 - design and form factor as well as sound. here is another review. https://bassmusicianmagazine.com/2019/06/the-peavey-max-208-review-made-for-performing-bassists/ And specs on the range. https://peavey.com/products/bass-amplifiers.cfm I quite like the 208
  9. If you did have a bass to do it to you you probably have to do some wood filling (depending how many screws it has), pop the bridge in the same location to keep the scale length, change the nut. As far as pick ups go, will if it had blades, flat magnets and not pole pieces then it matters less exactly where the strings are over the pick up. Being off pole pieces and not central is not a huge issue, it gives a different sound, and may not be as consistent so you may have to tinker. Some basses are deliberately lined up not directly over the pole pieces - Sting Ray Old Smoothie as an example. so far as the neck profile, that’s completely up to you, there are flat radius ones out there, remember you can always shave an existing neck down to your requirements should you find the right bass, but not quite right neck
  10. Get a Schaller 3D bridge and choose your string spacing
  11. It appears daddy Andy gets Cuzzie Mummies Aubergine
  12. Sure Enfield could do that.....
  13. This is great, loved mine for all the reasons said above great seller
  14. Just seen the size ask! it may be under rather than over the desk
  15. Hartke HD25 used it with dUg
  16. If you relic’d those white and gold basses enough to remove all the finish, then you are onto a winner, or use them as the firewood for burning Keep the pick ups tho
  17. I can’t believe it’s not
  18. Ooooo a different loob
  19. Crikey, eye bleeding thread now. The Pewter is nice but all the rest look like the big roll What Tywin Lannister has wiped his bum bum with
  20. Yes dear
  21. Only place Gold hardware ever looked good was on BA Baracus
  22. What were you thinking - the hardware is not gold, and the shape is normal - you are making it look acceptable
  23. Genius - that’s what’s holding it back from looking decent. Maybe a decent magnolia and we can have it on basses under the hammer as a refurb with good old Dion Dublin
  24. Exactly - like an ice cream dropped on a pavement. @Osiris we have found something more Darth Hideous than Turdburst - there is a new rusty sheriff in town
