Selling my SX precision bass bought during lockdown and ended up loving more than some high end pbasses I have had through the years. The bass is lightweight and with a great punchy pickup. I have used this for weddings and pubs so it has a few scratches but nothing crazy. It could do with a little TLC since it's missing a tuning screw (no tuning problems though). For a while I had installed a series/parallel switch so it has a hole in the pickguard. It also needs earthing. All those things are very small and quick if you know what you're doing. Bass comes with Fender flats and it will come in a Warwick rockbag which is safely padded even though it's has a small hole at the bottom. Happy to post at buyer's expenses and to use Paypal as long as buyer pays fees. I am based in Hertfordshire and I am willing to drive for fuel money too. I believe this would make a great project for someone learning how to mod basses or a great gift for someone starting out.

Selling my beautiful American Fender Precision 5 string bass that I got a while a go in a swap here on Basschat. The bass is in great condition apart from one ding by the arm contour and one ding on the neck that I personally don't even feel when playing. The bass has had a pickup swap and it now has a great set of Aguilars and an added bridge pickup. I have mostly used this bass for function and studio work but I've also used it with the Kris Barras Band in live situations and recordings. The bass can easily hand Motown to hard rock due to pickup configuration and the beautiful clarity and punch of the Aguilars. Weight on bathroom scale is 4.4kg. The bass comes with a Fender hardcase that is scratched and it's not perfect but it does the job and I have never had any problems with it, not even when flying with it. Selling for £1100 o.n.o. and I am not interested in any trades. Happy to post at buyer's expenses. Happy to use Paypal as long as buyer covers fees. The colour is amazing, very hard to capture it in photo. My bathroom scale says the bass is exactly 5kg so not the lightest but I've been doing functions with it and never had any problems. A good strap takes care of it 😊

*** REDUCED TO £1200 ono *** Selling a 1981 Fender Special in what used to be Lake Placid Blue that has now aged into a beautiful shade of green. The bass has plenty of genuine mojo and finish craze and it's clear it has been used non stop for a long time. At some point a bridge pickup has been added and it has been wired passively; it's now Volume Volume Tone. The switch is series/parallel for the neck pickup. Unfortunately I don't have the original preamp but I do have the original pickup however one side needs rewinding so I have installed a Di Marzio in its place. The bass has recently had a partial refret and general setup and it's ready to be played and gigged and loved for many years to come. Bass will come in a Hiscox case. Happy to use Paypal as long as buyer is happy to cover fees. I am willing to ship or happy to drive for fuel money as well. Based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. Original Fender chrome covers I took off from a nice AVRI '58 I used to own. I am not sure screws are the original ones but they do the job. They come with a bridge mute you can put on the bridge covers for a nice old school thump. Asking for £25, collection from St Albans, Hertfordshire or willing to ship at buyer's cost.
