  1. Wow, that Boden bass is stunning. Around 2k plus. Out of my price range for the foreseeable future and probably way too good for me as well.........
  2. There is a plan coming together! The guy who took over Ovation and procuced the Magnum use to design helicoptor rotor blades I think.............just need the right company name and we'll take off! A little bit of wood, coping saw, sand paper, varnish.............ProfSpondon luthiers..........look out Shuker.........
  3. Why did I ask???!! They look so good!!! Thank you...........will review prices later after I brace myself!
  4. I have advance city and guilds in joinery if that helps!!? Not done it for a while though!
  5. Do they do a four string? I am impressed with the Ibanez SMS I bought, turning into my go to bass. Was concerned about fan fret but I really have seen no difference, quite forgiving for me in fact! The Ibanez necks on them are so good. Under 400 quid for it as well. Obscene quality for a relatively low price bass....
  6. Will have another look, thank you................any others? Brice (Rono music) I found but again, I don't think they do a four string and I have no idea if they are any good. Believe they are a Korean manufacturer and I have had Peerless basses before and they are excellent..........
  7. I just went online @warwickhunt.......I have an Ibanez fan fret - lovely bass.........but couldn't find an Ibanez fan fret headless...!
  8. Plus one for Peavey, so well built, first CNC manufactured if I'm right? Have two - 1992 USA build Fury......as good as any Fender P that I have played......also the DE Scorpio......150 quidish, with hard case, excellent value IMO
  9. Looking for a headless fan fret........... anybody aware of companies that make them please?
  10. Hermes are the worst delivery company I have ever had the misfortune to use. However, in Holland/Germany where their HQ is situated they have at least purchased new location software that has the ability to record time, assist the driver in finding his location, etc. I don't know if they as a company will improve their delivery success but time will tell.
  11. I have this new addiction to headless basses. Just pulled the trigger on this Yamaha BX1 from the States. Not many around..............
  12. Although I'm not a Fender fan, I had one of these and I regret selling..! It's in great condition and worth every penny....wouldn't expect it to be around long........glwts
  13. Having worked on a few of the videos at the time - inc Adam and the Ants, Madness, human League, etc I am soooo looking forward to this...............
  14. Had three of these and a T45...........incredibly versatile, bloody heavy but a lot of fun with tones and stuff. About 450 quid if I remember right?
  15. Great call, saw them a good few years ago, really good live. Backed up by Spear of Destiny I think.....
  16. Hoping this will be with me by first week in Feb.......................
  17. Agree, nothing against slap but not my style really......
  18. We could easily fall out!!!!! 😄 Have never liked slap, at a push Mark King on a couple of numbers but would never play slap or entertain it...! It's not me, respect people that do like it but really not my style. Les Pattinson (Echo and the B'men) , Phil Lynott, bit of Lemmy........ Curt Whatsisname - Tears for Fears....
  19. Are you implying we smell?? 😆 They look superb. Have you or anyone else following this thread played one or own one? Would love to hear one live. Literally went onto their bass page and that beauty was looking at me! Trying to entice me! Get thee behind me Satan!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Do you hate me @Cuzzie...? What have I done to you? I have GAS!! Oh boy.........Kiesel.....I'm in love.......https://www.kieselguitars.com/catalog/guitars/vb4 .............
  21. Thank you @Cuzzie appreciate your sentiments. Yes, ex tight head....bits of my body missing! Had my wrist broken very badly in Aus a number of years ago and it is now fused so no movement of the writ at all. Stopped me playing sax so I have now been completely taken over by the bass! The Shuker was available at the right time and off the BC forum so quality guaranteed. There is another one that I want to indulge in as well as GAS takes hold!! With regards work ... these are tough times for a large percentage of people, certainly musicians so I recognise I am in a fortunate position with a new job. Need to perform in the early months to prove myself to bosses and colleagues so that is the priority. Now.....Kiesel........
