Take it you mean the £450 one as the Black/rosewood is still on eBay for £650. I'm happy to see somebody's listed one for £850,might stop folks breaking them for parts like their doing just now.
Yep, he bought the £450 one. Not seen it yet but he is happy.
£650 is a helluva high price. Further down the page a fella's asking £450 for his maple board T40. 2 months now,not one offer.
My pal bought this one last week

What period/style of music inspired you to start playing?
ProfJames replied to TheGreek's topic in General Discussion
Went to school with half of Madness and was a roadie for them when they were North London Invaders so I got influenced by Lee playing sax. Then I heard Les Pattinson of Echo and the Bunnymen and took up bass 20 years later! -
What about this one ProfJames ? Fella in Germany just sent the link. This T40 has some chips out of the body, a hole drilled in an attempt to convert to 5 string, volume knob missing, non original switch and no case.....£300. I suggested that £225 needs to be spent and that the bass has had a very hard life! What would you offer? 1978 Peavey T40 bass £300 Glenrothes Selling this due to lack of use. Easily the most massive sounding bass I've had. Strings are a few months old but barely used. I've tried to get photos of all the damage. The bass still plays great and looks ok from a distance but it's got it's fair share of battle scars. Little crack in pickguard Chips on edge of body Peavey pot missing Random hole drilled in headstock - I cannot for the life of me imagine why Dead fret on 13th Still sounds amazing and all the controls work as they should. £300 ono. Would prefer collection only but could maybe arrange shipping *Has no case but can provide Fender gig bag with it*
At least we know now where some of the necks made for Rickenfaker thru-necks ended up!
The prose and diction disappears in places,,,,,

But the CCJ remains until the debt is cleared

Anyone got one? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/322417461957?_trksid=p11001.c100357.m3752&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20150112100319%26meid%3D130f386bf8a648e89bc1501f9f7725be%26pid%3D100357%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D8%26sd%3D302301899448&ul_noapp=true

I have issued an online CCJ on three occasions and won each time, This is an online action via a government website and costs around £30. It issues a summons and places a CCJ on both the company address and the name of the person. They get a month to respond and then have to attend court. Frightens the sh*t out of the accused and CCJ actions bugger up their credit ratings......................... https://www.firstreport.co.uk/Guide-to-County-Court-Judgments.aspx
This is my black T40 Yep, it is a high price but this... ...is the reason why. Finding this colour and neck combo is the T40 equivalent of finding a 60s Jazz Bass in, say, lake placid blue as opposed to the ten-a-penny sunburst ones - but instead of it quadrupling the price, it's just a couple of hundred more. 650 it what it owes me from when I imported it. And as per the ad, I don't NEED to sell it so I can afford to be stubborn.
It certainly is a stunning looking bass. In addition I agree with your justification
