1. Currently strung with flats but I'll include a set of Overwater rounds with the sale. Again this isn't getting used I'd like to get another Original shape Overwater and my girl needs a ring on her finger so this can go off to the chopping block
2. Back up for sale, I'm just not playing this at all and I need to raise some cash for a *cough* ring *cough* but luckily she doesn't check this site
3. How much is the software that goes with it?
4. Pics are in here http://basschat.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=81243 I'll pm you about the cash.
5. I have an Overwater Evolution (35inch scale 5 string, like new) and some money (Slightly old, bit tatty obviously been used by a market trader at some point) I could throw at this if you're interested? Cheers
6. Picked this up the other week from Leeman and it's just redundant, I take a U5 with me to every gig and I have a preamp/overdrive pedal on my board that this will just sit forever in my gigbag. Like new, with box, instructions and 2 duracell procell batteries going cheap at £100 Pic if you want them, but as stated like new. Cheers
7.
Well here's the rub on the whole deal: I was trying to trade my AMP BH-420 for a Trace Elliot Series-6 AH350. Deal ended up not going down... Meanwhile I had flirted with the 610, but the kid who has it wants my AMP BH-20 in trade. Now, I have 2 other heads, both Trace. One is the venerable 250SMX, the other is the slightly less venerable GP-11 MK IV, also an AH250. The MK IV is in need of servicing, but it works (UV light makes it noisy). I already have the Peavey, but have thought seriously about the Ampeg 610 since it came into the crosshairs. That's it. I'm not sure it's worth giving up the BH-420 for, when I hae a nice cab that just needs to be loaded with better speakers (Scorpions in there now, not going to work for me). I'd still like to find a Series-6 head to swap with an AMP enthusiast. But that's another thread... anyway that's the whole story now.
Surely the AMP is the better head with basically being a Thunderfunk
8. Yep and they have been known to make them in under 5 days if they aren't too busy
9.
Mine was 350. I'm not entirely sure mine and Ste's does have neo's. Ste deals with matamp more than me, but I don't recall any mentioning of neo's when I was spec'ing my cab. Maybe he knows more? It's worth an ask about the custom bits you want. Matamp aren't happy unless you're happy and are pretty thorough to make sure you get what you want, but not sure about what you want. It's worth a phonecall, email doesn't seem to have made much of an impression at Matamp HQ just yet
Yeah as far as I know mine and yours have neos in as that is the stock model. They can probably add extra bits but tilt back wheels and grab handles will make this a bitch as you'll have to bend your knees to drag that (bet you this is the first thing Jeff says about it ) it's a small cab not an 8x10 or 2x15 that they normally add those handles to. You've be better getting Jeff to give it pop in castors or make a board for you to push it on if it's such a concern, I think tilting it back won't work how you hope.
10. Got it back from the tech yesterday, we only put 2 tubes in it as I'm in no great rush to use it so it's giving 50w out and its pretty freakin loud as is. Here is the guy shot It's working great now, sounds fantastic very clean and full, hopefully I can get a bit more playing time on it tonight. I also got my Dynacord MV15 back as well and man is it stunning now, we even managed to make up a new cable with a 3 pin din connection so I can use one of the mic channels over just the instrument one which is much easier to overdrive at lower volumes and with it back to being switchable between 15 and 6ohms I can use it with one of my Fane loaded Carlsbro cabs for home practice and the 2 for jamming with friends.
11. So let me get this straight? Everything listed above for £100?
12. My Hofner does not have weak pickups the output on them is similar to my Darkstars Basically it's a different vibe you go for with the shortscale basses, more thuddy and vintage, I love it, not everyone will but the beauty of it is it can be achieved with a fairly cheap instrument just wack some decent flats on it
13. Trade you my Hofner for Betty, Bob
14. I'll take it, PM with where you want the money. Cheers
15. They actually uses those new technologies in their PA range and everytime I go Jeff trys to sell me on a 1x12 and 1x18 fold sub as it will destroy my 8x10 for response and volume apparently but it just doesn't look as cool.
16.
Does... not... compute... Maybe I'm a weedy little thing (in fact, I know I am), but 30kg ain't an easy lift for me.
Well there is 30kg's with a handle on the top and 30kg's with 2 well placed handles on a cab that doesn't slam your knuckles into door frames But either way they weigh 30kg's if that's heavy shop else where but you will not get a better 2x12 let alone a better one for the money.
17.
+1 matamps construction methods are a bit more bruteforce than your modern half inch ply with cunning bracing. not to knock matamp though they do make great sounding solid cabs. My 215 sounds the absolute dogs dangleys
Agreed to a point, their premise is no compromise on sound, they brace the crap out of them so as little vibrates externally as possible, the next problem is they don't like the sound of a lot of neo's, I have Neo's in my 2x12 and Monz doesn't and there is a HUGE difference in weight and his sounds bigger and bassier but mine is as big and bassy as I need
18. These sound seriously awesome and I swear they weigh half of my 4x10, really punchy sealed cab sound, if you need louder then you are insane and deaf and stupid and DEAFFFFFFFFF
19. I have the lightweight 2x12's and it's an easy 1 person lift Measurements are 30kgs h74cm x w56cm x d37cm This thing is hella loud I did my whole tour with it (6 Weeks) and did rooms up to 300 people with no PA support and my 400+ never went above 5 Monz is currently selling his 2 4x10's because his 2x12 gives him everything he needs and he plans to get a second. Is it as loud as my 8x10, no but the difference is 2x12 amp on 5, 8x10 amp on 3 and I'm really freakin loud as is my band. Never noticed a need for a tweeter it has plenty of highs but if you want one they'll do it, but it will add to the weight and price. Hope this helps
20. Happy to post it, I'm based in Manchester, also happy for it to be collected by a courier.
21. Very tempted to stick this in my Valenti over the Aguilar OBP-1 I have there currently
22. I'll give you a crisp and a tenner for it cheese and onion? or salt an vinegar?
23. As the Tinman said "If I only had a heart" Yeah I'll see how I go, happily donate the next set of strings and stuff that come off one of my basses if they need those sorts of things?
24.
But does it toast bagels!?
It gets pretty freakin hot, it's got 6 tubes inside it including preamps valves, all metal casing, it's a great amp and an average grill
