1. You can see one of my Overwater's here unfortunately I'm also in the picture
2.
i'm not sure if that post is taking the piss out of what i wrote - if you spend over £50 they're supposed to send them out guaranteed for next day, christmas or not - i placed my order over the phone and was guaranteed this, as long as i ordered an extra set. that's the whole reason i ordered 2 sets and not 1. as it is, my strings are still not here and i might as well have got them from somewhere more reliable, which is exactly what i'll do next time.
Nothing to do with what you wrote sorry, I only spent about 27 quid on my strings just use to getting them next day from these guys regardless of what I pay for postage. Still no signs of my strings, will christmas be ruined because my Bass VI is still a baritone guitar?
3. Fraid I have to pass on this as it's freakishly not deep enough.
4. Level 42 - the definitive Level 42 DVD - £7.50 including postage. Shakatak live at the playhouse - DVD - £7.50 including postage. Level 42 live in Reading - £7.50 including postage. Level 42 Retroglide live DVD - £7.50 including postage. I'm interested in these for my Dad would you be able to send them special delivery today/tomorrow? so that I could get them for Christmas? Cheers
5. Interested to know what the real deal bass will be
6. Ok still available because apparently free still doesn't shift it
7. OOOOOO I've waited over 3 days for my 2 sets of strings, they must be slipping. That or it's Christmas
8. Any of this still available. I'm probably interested in the speakers and some of the connectors. Cheers
9. I wonder if this is an excessive size for my 400+ in a headcase suppose I can refoam to fit I'll measure tonight Any pics?
10.
What i can afford is about £400. I think that would be taking the Michael a little bit! Anyway, we're diverting from the thread... Show us the Terror!!!!!
I'd wait and see if Santa brings you £100 I don't think there is a better cab than the 4x10 well period but certainly not till you get to like Berg and Aguilar DB money
11. Yeah it's 539 but give Jeff a call if it's close to what you can afford he might be able to discount it to help you out.
12. Ok, I will post these for free upon seeing the receipt of a recent charitable donation or something similar for £3 or more. Or buy RATM 3 times and I'll send them you
13.
same and if you ever want to buy anything all the justification you need is in the reviews!
Yeah I let me G/F read them, you know like look 27 guys in the whole world think it's amazing so of course I can have it, I mean if I ever need to sell it there are 27 potential purchasers there. The other side of it is I've reviewed stuff and put it on HC but I only spend my time reviewing things I like, if I don't like something it gets sold asap
14. I use HCFX to feel better about the gear I've bought, everything is so positive
15.
Harmony Central reviews are the biggest waste of time ever! Written by kids reviewing their dad's jazz box guitars saying that they are crap for metal...
Don't talk rubbish, I'm really glad HC steered me away from Hofner and towards Ibanez because I had no idea Hofner wasn't a good idea for my Dream Theater tribute act
16.
Which Orange are you comparing against? The AD200 is less than half the power and best price I could see online was £1300...
True not a direct comparision but neither is the Ampeg as that's only meant to be 300w. I'm just thinking if we go off the old 3db rule then I doubt there is much you can do with 8 KT88's that you can't do with 4 but I'd like to be proven wrong. I had a Trace V6 and the GT200 was louder than it. But will be interesting to see when these are actually out. I suspect very few shops will be carrying 2k all tube bass amps for us to try.
17.
I dont think thats too bad actually for what it is especially when you compare to vietnamise/chinese Ampegs and the likes...
Expensive when compared to Orange and Matamp though, about the same as the "RRP" on the 400+ though you know when you could still buy them.
18.
Ah, if you're in a hurry you're best off going with Dr. Bass.
I don't know if I trust people of the medical profession building my cabs
19.
You bought a Loud cab?
I bought several, guy says they will be ready before Christmas but his shed roof has had a leak so he hasn't finished them yet
20.
Don't see why its a shame its just a fact. I've tried the Compact and i am happy to pay the extra £150 for my Bergantino. A much better cab IMO
See I tried the Compact and was happy to save £100 and still get a much better cab Don't interpret this as I bought a compact because it's better than a berg, I bought something cheaper than the compact that is better than the compact and I'll venture the Berg
21. I just ordered 2 sets of 6 string bass strings you know the older e to e sets I rang them up and they told me which they had in stock and recommended which models of the strings would suit the bass I'm getting Also great that you can buy with paypal allowing you to get rid of those pesky pennies people send you when buying stuff off here
22.
1) Dean stylist
Very cool bass especially if you get the cabbie one, obviously not for everyone but if your going to get a hollowbody it should be a bit pimp
23. I have a Darkstar'd Dearmond Starfire and it is one of my favourite basses, however I have had 3 Starfires and they are all slightly different, I kept the one with the best feel and playability and sold a better acoustic sounding one. But either way good basses, I have always fancied a Jack Casady though. Some people on the forum have let some cheap 60's and 70's lesser known brand hollowbodies go for under £200. Sometimes the best hollowbodies are the cheaper not so well built ones, it depends if you want that cardboardy thud or if you want it to sound like a normal bass
24. I'd like to find a double shortscale bass bag or a long double guitar bag as my starfire doesn't fit in my incase dubag and I have like 4 shortscales now
25. No it's a resistor grid so limits the signal going to the preamp or from the preamp
