Ok if you google about the M9 at the moment people are moaning about how it's on old firmware, well I looked and the only fx missing between what they advertise are below: Bass Octaver Sync to Midi Beat Clock Resync LFOs Relative Mode Heel/Toe Pixels Only annoying one is the Bass Octaver but this update will be there very soon, so don't be put off. People are just making out like the thing has come bare bones, even I paniced. I paid for mine last night but will still have to wait 10 days for it.

I'm also looking for the same but mounted in a proper flightcase.

Paying for mine from Tone Factor today, about 100 quid cheaper than the uk, which will do nicely. Did they up hold their price Tony?

Now that the Line 6 M9 has been released I no longer need this as a backup to my M13 rig. I bought it off here it's in good condition, everything works and I have a box, I can even throw in a One Spot Line 6 Adaptor so you can use this with any high MA power supply (I am not responsible for you blowing your boss power supply up, use a diago, one spot etc) From the website Why is it that something considered so undesirable in most contexts is the one thing we guitarists desire most of all? Distortion: It’s the gritty heart of every player’s sound, whether your passion be for mild overdrive, singing sustain, flat-out raunch or precision metal meltdown. What’s that? Your heartstrings pine for all of those flavors? Welcome to the DM4 Distortion Modeler, the first and only pedal that lays virtually every classic distortion pedal at your feet (okay, 16 different models, to be precise!), while throwing in a few forward-thinking Line 6 specials to give you something to lust for down the line. It’s just not practical to line up an MXR® Micro Amp, a Chandler Tube Driver®, an Ibanez® TS-808 Tube Screamer®, a Boss® Metal Zone and twelve more coveted distortion boxes at a live gig down at Sparky’s Bar & Grill, and even if it was, you’d end up with more noise than a Manhattan traffic jam. No worries: The DM4 lets you dial in models based on* all of these classic boxes—and more, including the Arbiter® Fuzz Face, Big Muff Pi® and ProCo Rat, as well as the more “inside” Colorsound® Overdriver and Vox® Tone Bender—from a simple and rugged steel housing with four metal footswitches that allow you to save and recall four distinct sounds in memory, with six front-panel parameter knobs that give you control over drive, frequency and more. Whether you power up the DM4 using four “C” batteries (we’ve even included a set) or with the optional PX-2 adaptor, you’ll be getting dirty while staying clean—the 24-bit signal path means every nuance of those grungy classics comes through loud and clear. Wanna take your distortions to the outer limits? Check out the brilliant octave-fuzz of our models based on the Tychobrahe Octavia and PAiA Roctave Divider; hit a perfect swoosh with our Roland® Jet Phaser model, or go completely over the top with our very own Line 6 Distortion, custom-made for mouthy musical mayhem. In just a single box, you’ll find the torrid timbres that players like Jimmy Page, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eddie Van Halen, Steve Lukather and others have made part of our collective consciousness, and the DM4 will give you the means to transform those classic tone recipes into something utterly your own. If distortion is your passion, the DM4 will be love at first bite. Available Models: • Boost/Comp • Tube Drive • Screamer • Overdrive • Classic Distortion • Heavy Distortion • Colordrive • Buzz Saw • Facial Fuzz • Jumbo Fuzz • Fuzz Pi • Jet Fuzz • Line 6 Drive • Line 6 Distortion • Sub Octave Fuzz • Octave Fuzz DM4 Specifications Digital Effects 16 Factory Presets 18 User Programmable Channels 4 Controls Drive, Bass/Jet Fdbk, Mid/Sub/Comp, Treble/Jet Rate, Volume/Gate Additional Controls EX-1 Expression Pedal (optional) Mono/ Stereo Mono in, Mono out Chassis Color Gold Dimensions 10-inches/25.4 cm; Width/Depth: 6-inches/15.24 cm; Height: 2.5-inches; Weight: 3.1 lbs I have this set up as 4 pedals 1 - sounds like the Cream Pie Deluxe, 2 - Sounds like a Boss OC-2, 3, Sounds like a thick fuzz suitable for cutting through a mix and 4 - Is something that is crazy and as close to the Subdecay Noise Box as I can get with it. It's a great pedal, I've not used it much, it's identical to what's in my M13. If I have to keep it I will I'm not fussed, but I'm after what I paid here which is £70 and I'll throw in the L6 adaptor cable. Cheers

Pedalboard is now gone
Couldn't tell you off the top of my head. As far as I know, the actual internal circuit did not change between Japanese and Taiwanese construction though. I'd have to check how much postage would be for you, but I can find out
+1 no difference what so ever, quickest way to check to see if it takes the ACA power supply as that's an older one most likely japanese -

Yeah you can, I prefer a separate volume pedal so that i can have 2 expression pedals and have one control whatever i want and the other control whatever I want. Just remember each expression pedal can control 1 or more of any parameter of any fx

Updated my M13 so it has all the sounds of the M9 Ok I apologise for these as I think they have come out a bit quite but since you want to be listening to them on some decent speakers (not laptop) you can afford to crank it up a bit I'll do some more this week with my Radial Di box. All sound samples are my Valenti Jazz (active) tuned DGCF so when you hear the super low notes on the octaver thats down to D not just E into the M13 into a 1970's Simms Watt PA100 Head into a Matamp 2x12 cab with a cheap Stagg kick drum mic on it. First up, Harmoniser set to A Major with 5th up and octave up which you can hear the differences I even do some 100% octave up to show the tracking. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Harmoniser.mp3 Partical Verb, loving this so far what I've done here is set the expr to go through the different modes stable, critical etc so you can hear different degrees of it. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Partical%20Verb.mp3 Phasers, first one is the script which is awesome and probably my new favourite mod on this pedal, then it goes to the Barber one which I haven't quite got right, there is some clean playing between them to distinguish. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Phasers.mp3 Whammy, ok so here I am playing with 1 and 2 oct's up, I also do 1 and 2 octs down but the 2 octs down is pretty inaudible, the tracking is stellar and it's polyphonic, so I'm just wiggling the expr and tweaking the shift and stuff so its doing the 1 or 2 octave up with either 50/50 mix or 100% wet signal. http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Whammy.mp3 Octaver and chorus, this is the new EBS based octaver which I use first on it's own, then the analog chorus on it's own then both together. Tracking goes iffy around G but will still sound reasonable to D below E, it can just about handle double stops but not chords, the Whammy model can http://www.grygrx.net/bass/tayste/M13%20Octaver%20Chorus.mp3 Like I say these are a bit quiet but it's late here and I can't keep playing away through my amp, I'll redo these at some point and record new ones that cover my dirt and wah's and other weird noises that I'm yet to get nailed down, but in the mean time hope you enjoy these. Cheers
i can't wait to get my pedalboard all built up again. looking at a proco rat, line 6 M9 and some kind of synth pedal. plus in time a moog taurus for progz
M9 has a Rat model in it and some of the best synths I've heard (Since its the same as the M13)
I get the impression they are listening to bassists a lot now, judging by the responce of the guy on TB, he isd around on a lot of other forums as well, mostly 6 string stuff On TB someone asked if it would be possible to buy additional effects, that would be cool! Get a stock M9( (or M13) and have the room to add a few choice effects, maybe bass specific. I think there is an octaver in there aimed at bass, but from what Tayste has said, most work well with bass anyway Tony
Yeah apparently the M9 has an EBS Octaver clone inside it, plus some eq pedals as well, these will be made available for the M13 in an update shortly after the release of the M13.

I also tried the northern Compact recently, I didn't gig or practice with it as it isn't big/loud enough for my band, but I did give it a good run against a similarly sized cab the Matamp 2x12.
racked m13 and this on the floor
M13 is smaller than that

Unless your getting a treadle less expression pedal then PT Mini won't fit what you want, it will easily do M9 and then 2-3 more pedals.
-
No Also I don't like the fixed power cord for it, to easy to ruin it mid tour and no where to buy something else.
-
I think I'll be getting one from Tone Factor this week, I love the M13 but finding a case for it is annoying, M9 will fit on a PT Mini with an X2 wireless and another pedal say a VT or SFT for a bit of amp sim. Still need to find an international touring power supply for it.

Bit of a launch of the new line up, we'll be playing a few new songs etc I can do a special BC'er ticket price of £2 instead of the usual £4 for anyone that wants to come. 10th October starts about 6pm www.myspace.com/ourinnocencelost Cheers

It's entirely up to you but since you asked my opinion There are a few things to consider here such as weight the new neo loaded Matamp 4x10's sound great and are super light. Aesthetics, Ampeg cabs look like Ampeg cabs nothing special nothing cool even when loaded with the silver grill cloth. Matamp cabs have a stainless steel lazer cut grills and can come in a choice of pretty much any colour you could want, I have mine in red and they are very eye catching from offstage. Cost, they cost £539 it's a very cheap hi end 4x10 and I think there are offers available to BC'ers so the question is very much as asked do you keep the Ampegs or get Matamp because for that sort of money there isn't anything that comes close. One other thing which I'm quite proud of is you are supporting a small British company, this may mean nothing to a lot of people but it warms my emo heart P.S. I now have a Matamp 2x12 and its a killer small rig setup, hella loud, just taked everything a 400+ can throw at it but still able to fit in the boot of a hatchback. Hope this helps
