1.
The Stagg one looks good, but might look a bit like an S&M device in my lounge! Cheers ped
So it would match the others then?
2. I've got one of these coming next week http://www.staggmusic.com/products/product...&oneid=1377 I'll let you know how it is.
3. If I'm in Bedfordshire in a week or so would you mind me coming to try them? I can't promise I'll buy either as I had my heart set on some Matamp cabs but I haven't tried either Mesa Cab and I do have a 400+ so bit of a match made in heaven I think. Cheers
4. Jesus 2 cabs I want in the place I'm going in a week to buy a bass. Hmmmmm
5.
i thought ste sold his valenti cause he doesnt play much 5 string?? or am i goin mad?
When you have 10 basses you don't play much of any of them
6. I don't suppose you'd be after an Iamp800 or Nm410 would you?
7.
I know it's not the same but if you want to keep your rig compact couldn't you just use a barge concepts pedal or something similar and run the blend at 50%? Half clean, half dirty?
In theory in sounds the same but in practice it's massively different, I have 2 blenders on my board and in the studio I still di pre and post effects.
8. Where are you based Owen I wouldn't mind trying it if possible as I was about to buy a U5 but this might be more my thing.
9.
Not THAT much This rig will cost enough as it is - I'd need to buy at least one new pre, a new 1212L, and possibly replace my poweramp ;p That's after finishing my pedalboard o_O I do have very vague plans for a second Shuker 7 though. One day. Stereo outputs sounds just crazy enough that it might be an awesome idea! EDIT: I'm assuming this Lehle product is what I'd be looking at? http://www.lehle.com/products/frameset_l1....L1_Link=P-Split
Only if you want both amps on all the time which defeats the point to be honest, you want their A/B/Y box http://www.lehle.com/products/frameset_l1....Link=LittleDual I think I'll be upgrading my AB box if I don't end up racking my live pedals
10. I've done it, of course would you expect anything less I used a custom A/B/Y box to split my signal, you should get a Lehle if you are serious. My rig was A/B input to select basses in to tb loop in said custom pedal with Boost and tuner in it so I can mute and boost both amps with a single click this is very important so you don't just mute or boost one amp. End of tb loop to A/B/Y output A into Iamp800 with NM410, B into my effects into Iamp600 and 2 CXL112's It worked well but I found my 100% effect sound a bit weak but the clean was awesome and the combined was also fantastic. I had all the amps racked up together with a patchbay to link it all up and I ran a custom Obbm pedalsnake to hook it all up, it really is something you have to put together quickly and you have the problem of sending 2 di signals to the desk and them not mucking up your mix. Hope this helps
11.
oh and btw if you buy an inear do yourself a favour and get a Sennheiser. They are the most reliable. Surely they cost more than others but they will give you less trouble. Once buying professional gear saves you from having to buy twice.
Yeah I always try and take that approach, I think you are right in the whole feel thing especially with my music, I still want to improve my whole sound out front (FOH) though was thinking of getting an Avalon u5 but wasn't sure if I should put that through the amp as well?
12.
would you even be able to hear the IEM with the matamps cranked?
Pffft cranked Mesa only on 3 when the Matamp had to be on 8
13. I used the AKG Bug and WMS400 for about 2 years and it was amazing then I switched top a tube amp and the hiss that appeared from the 2 being close to each other was unbarable so I sold both and now I'm thinking of trying the X2 rackmount wireless if anyone has any experience with them?
14. That was another option buy both the 2x15's and get IEM but it seemed excessive
15. So I am faced with another dilema having had another idea for my rig setup. I had decided to get 2 matamp 2x15's which is pretty excessive and loud and 1 is probably enough but I like the look and power that I'll be feeling from the pair but thinking about it, it is my own monitor and while we still do some gigs without large PA support it does happen so I know I need at least one cab. The drummer and guitarist both use wired in ears but don't have individual mix which is not really ideal, but we use backing tracks so they need them for the click and backing tracks and I though hell why not join in the fun and not really have any monitoring concerns at any gig. We have a new mixer coming in to give them 2 individual mixs I'm not to fussed about my mix as long as I have control over the mix as a whole and my bass separately. The system I was looking at was this http://www.thomann.de/gb/the_tbone_iem_100_863_mhz.htm most of the talk about IEM's seems to be about the actual headphones so I'd upgrade to some Shures or Elicin's. So I'm after any advice on setting this up and what I need. I'm currently thinking something like a 4 channel line mixer, that wireless, an X2 rackmount wireless so I can run around everywhere, but I wondered if it was worth using a multiple DI setup in my rack and mixing that myself and sending the combined signal to my IEM and to the FOH. Or should I just get 2 2x15's and rock out
16. I have a custom built flightcase that I had built for me and in the time it took to build I switched to playing Thunderbirds. So it's never been used and never been out of the house. It is quite heavy so collection is preferred but I can ship if needed. The foam has been cut to the two basses I used in it my Valenti jazz and my Overwater so you will most likely need to replace the foam but this is a minimal expensive and generally recommended when custom fitting a flightcase to your gear. Here are the pics Obviously the basses aren't included I'd like £140 for this but am open to offers.

20.
you played their new bass head? i came a little when i first turned it on, its how bass is meant to sound ;(
Yeah I did but it's not loud enough for me, well it might be with 2 2x15's but the Mesa is just way louder and way cleaner for longer that's not to say I won't be buying one.
