2.
You do indeed - tried out many other pedals in the meantime but it does the perfect sound for what I'm after so it's going nowhere.
Crowther doesn't even remember building it , I do fancy getting another one at some point very good pedal
3.
And mine - just needs tidying up a bit.
I see my one of a kinda Crowther Bluesberry XLF Hotcake
4. Yeah sorry didn't read it properly. No idea but wack the lead on ebay as a vintage analog delay
5. Well just incase can you measure the outside of the case cos it's soooooo close to fitting
6. Bypass's can bleed sometimes
7. There are so many good pedals for sale here, grab em while you can people
8. Couple of inches more and this would have fitted my nm410. How thick is the foam inside?
9. Do a search on TB plenty of soundclips of it
10.
Yep, I got the MDF offcut cut to fit a flight case I have. You can see the base of it in this photo: The only problem I have with it is that it's a little ungainly... the "lid" for it is much bigger than it needs to be, and the whole case has to be carried horizontally. I've already lost a fair bit of knuckle skin carrying it into our rehearsal space. I'm toying with the idea of getting one of these and converting it into a pedal board case: http://www.theelectronicsshop.co.uk/flight...howmaster48.htm (The case that is, not the contents... works out at about £50)
I could be interested in that case if you replace it, my band needs something for our multi track and things. Cheers
11. 12.
pew pew
That's the one
13. Every body with a feedback loop needs a EHX Bassballs trust me on that
14.
Chain is... Wireless Korg DT-10 tuner MXR Supercomp compressor MXR MicroAmp volume boost (for tapping mainly) Boss OD-20 distortion modeller (I don't like this. It could be good if the signal was blended though... I'd still rather just get better distortions as well...) Boss CE-2B chorus (I like this a lot) Boss OC-2 octaver (pretty slick, but I wish I hadn't sold the PS-5 on, the polyphony on that pwned this, though this is pretty characterful) Digitech Whammy IV (best pedal for dumb noises - I know it should be at the beginning of the chain for best tracking, but I love the crappy tracking sound, I don't use it for playing things high, I have a 7 string for that) Ernie Ball 6166 volume pedal Danelectro Wasabi delay (good delay, but in a crappy place on the board) Line 6 DL4 delay/looper (great fun) Powered by a Diago powestation, on a Diago board. Thanks to some of the BC'ers who have contributed to the pedals on the board Taken at a gig tonight. Not really happy with it, and there's always stuff I want to add, but there you go
Ok get this....... wait for it...... don't say this often over here but nice board. Have you considered a burkey power supply as it should power eveything on your board. Also for distortions have a look for my sound clips on the Tone Factor mule I remember speaking to tonefactor and them saying they had a second hand one they could do cheap if your interested it's an awesome distortion.
15. I tired the bassdrive it's erm............. in a word crap I found it very unimpressive and all in all it's just a TS Clone very very overpriced in my humble opinion
16. Selling because I want a Nebula again........DAMMIT Barely used this pedal it has a few scratches here and there but this is an excellent japanese built boss pedal does everything from light flange to full on jet swoosh you can even get it to oscilate a bit but hey I can get anything to oscilate BTW it's the one in the middle SOLD Cheers
17.
I've heard lots of people say this. Have you really tried it? I've not, but I wonder how/if it really works?
Heard soundclips of it working and know people that have sold Octron's for them and the only reason you would sell a lush sounding analog octave for the sterile digital one is tracking from what I've heard it goes down to low b and can handle chords and I've heard these claims from a hell of a lot of people.
18. Just to put the Micro Pog above the Whammy it is polyphonic so it can handle chords and the tracking is better than a whammy but they both has a similar digitally tone (yuk)
19. I think best for the money now adays is a micro pog has all the features a bassist needs wouldn't really go the Akai route. In saying that I have an octron 2 coming for my octave needs both up and down
20. What ever Kev decides is fair this week
21.
There's quite a few pedals that give an octave up - digitech whammy and EBS octobass off the top of my head. Hamster
EBS doesn't do octave up
