I found one of these at a local music shop in mint condition with matching 1x15 bass cab which doesn't have the original speaker but is again in mint condition. I know a little bit about the amp they were made ebtween 1964-1965 and are 15.5w but most of the people I've found talking about them are guitarists and from what I've read this is clearly a bass amp. So any extra info would be great, I'm going to go try it on saturday and see how it sounds but I'm looking for a decent sounding vintage practice amp and possibly recording. Also anything I need to watch out for? Cheers

I'd say about 60-80 quid I have one of those in better condition and I think I paid 80 for it from Canada but it was from a friend and I paid a little more because he was strapped for cash and obviously shipping has to be taken into account. The 2000's are really rare but the 1000 and 1002 are the most popular due to the price and the PDS20/20 is the one everyone is after. Your best bet to get rid of it would be the Harmony Central Forums then Ebay if you have no luck but I'd ask somewhere between 60-80 since it is a particuarly old one mine is a dark blue you can probably find it in the post your pedalboard thread. I am quite tempted myself but there is a vintage tube amp with my name all over it. But if you don't get any offers over £45 give me a shout

I wouldn't bother with a blender between the cost of that and the money the LBM is worth you can get a decent distortion pedal. Blending in opinion while adding bass back in does weaken the effect I use to use my blend pedal with a fuzz and blending it made it sound like an overdrive with a fuzzy characteristic and then I'd switch to not blended and it would be rip your face off distortion, same setting same pedal just switching between blend and not and completely changed my sound. Good distortions for cutting a mix depending on the style and how heavy you want to be would be Catalinbread Hyperpak - Cuts like a kinife through butter Tonefactor/Mojo Hand Mule - Cuts like a knife as well but doesn't get as clean as the hyper but can get dirtier (Roady will be selling his soon if your after one) Tech 21 XXL Bass - Heavy distortion lots of sounds Hope this helps

EBS would suit you more a few more options, I mean they sound very similar but I found the demetera bit punchier I felt it would be better for slap but like I say there isn't much between them so I go for the EBS because it has more features and sounds and in your case you have a lot of EBS stuff already and they tend to interact well together.

Yeah good choices then, the X-blender will be good on the Multidrive, Bassballs and Microsynth. The EBS is another nice compressor that you migth find better for your setup than the Demeter. What style of music to you play?
