I can't believe that I've not tried a HOG yet. Alpha Dave you should have brought one ot the bash *shakes fist*
Sounds Great will have a HOG in probably

You can do a hell of a lot worse for the money with an Ibanez SRX505 they are fantastic rock and metal basses with those 2 huge MM style pups. I'd happily have one over all the basses you've listed above and wouldn't mind one in my personal collection which is made up of those high end and custom bass you asked us not to mention in this thread.

I have a friend who has an endorsement deal with them for Amps and Guitars and he's got a custom tele that he loves. Other than that I've never tried one or heard on but as stated he loves his guitar.

Bought a pedal off him, arrived very quickly and well packed and he let me know when he'd sent it etc. Great person to deal with.
Agreed, lovely board Steve. Bit shocked to see you replaced your Nebula though
Still got it, just going to try the Subdecay out tomorrow at band practice, the nebula is great but the subdecay is completely different if you were a phaser freak you could easily have both on the same board.
That's actually two different processes: Impedance Change -and- Buffer. If you don't know what Impedance is in musical instrument terms, then I strongly suggest that you don't buy an impedance altering device.
3 Processes what you've said and the 2 together as impedance can be changed passively like in a DI box but in my case there is some sort of active buffer changing the impedance. The only separate impedance buffer I've found is one I had to have custom built after many years of struggling with fuzz's and active basses, Subdecay make a pedal called the flying tomato which has a 12k buffer and works fantastically with active basses, MI Audio have the Neo and GI fuzz with variable input bias I believe (Toasted?) which works in a similar manor, so they hard to get and generally custom built but they cost very little if you can get a stand alone unit (Which I have been unable to do even speaking to several custom pedal companies I'm very close with). But yeah you are really clipping and gating that Fuzz Probe and I'd estimate from the sounds of the gating you are losing about half of the tones available in that pedal especially the high gain ones, other fix is a passive bass.
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=700547 click on ps-3/deep impact hifi, thats jus a random recording i made of the Boss ps-3 arpegiator type sounds and my deep impact. im jus hitting random notes to give you an idea of what its like
I had a listen to your clips and just an FYI just from the sound is your bass active? as thats why you are getting all those gated sounds with the Fuzz probe, you should look into an impedance buffer as that will greatly increase the usability of that pedal for you. Also to anyone else looking the arpegiator on that PS-3 is more like a real arpegiator than that of a Sample and Hold Filter so try not to compare them to much as they sound completely different. Personally I prefer the sounds of a Sample and Hold Filter. Hope this helps

How does the bass mute fix to the bass, do you just tape it on or can it be screwed on? Cheers
im not sellling mine now, i sold my dm-3 instead BECAUSE the ps-3 was too awesome to sell, so take a chill pill man
I'm perfectly chilled, I was just wondering if you were giving overly biased advice simply because you wanted to palm off the PS-3.
the ps-3 has a better arpegiattor
Is all this PS-3 is amazing lark just because you are selling yours? Ant have a look at the Line 6 FM4 I a/b'ed it against the robotalk and its a much easier to trigger and much easier to control. Though both Subdecay and Catalinbread are working on Sample & Hold filters but don't hold your breath for them being available this year.
really u think that? i found the bass synth wah to be totally useless to me, and the octave down it has didnt come close to my deep impact's one, in fact the deep impact wiped the floor from every point of view, which is why i got rid of it a week after i bought it
How so? was it the tracking? the sound? what were you trying to play? etc etc I'd pick Digital - Digitech BSW Analog (Good) - Foxrox Octron Analog (Good/Old School/Funky/Bad Tracking) - Dod Octoplus I loved my octoplus for doing anything where people had been using a Boss OC-2 overall its a much better sounding and tracking pedal but it doesn't come close to the more modern offerings which to me was part of its charm. I'd happily buy any of the above again.
