1. Got a friend interested in this can you pm your number to me so he can call you? Cheers
2. Yeah I don't think the device has issues it's just not friend proof, oh well will contact L6 tomorrow and see what they can do
3. Lent my sonic port to a friend for the night and now appears to not be working. Awesome
4.
Well for me I'd make my patches and it'll be a set and forget job. My only issue that I could see is doing the drive I want, or getting the sort clean under dirt sound I get with the pedals.
Audiobus 2 (out soon) will do parallel processing and there for blended sounds, there are all sorts of tweaks you can do if you need a specific sound.
5.
I'm really impressed using it with my iPad 2 and Jamup. Its a massive step up from the IRig I had been using. I did also try it with my an octave and a filter in front - both worked very well, same as plugging into an amp
Same as plugging into a solid state amp
6. Try closing all other apps abnd restarting the ipad to free up any memory. Make sure the amp is outputting to speaker not headphones and choose the lowest latency setting you can. Hope that helps
7. Nothing sounds like the fz-2 Search long and hard for one
8. Part 4 now up http://www.tayste.co.uk/2014/03/03/the-ios-bassist-pt4-my-setup/
9. Less than this months pedal budget really
10. £100 tops with £70 of that being the interface
11. Anything that uses the 3.5mm headphone input on your iOS device is much much lower quality than anything that uses the dock adaptor and currently the Line 6 uses the dock adaptor for all inputs and outputs so it's one of the best available at the moment. Unless of course you have the money for an Apogee Duet (not the Jam). Hope this helps
12. The main issue here is why are you turning off the 250 in the first place? Leave it on and sound better for it
13.
It's been a great read so far Ste, keep it coming. Out of interest, have you ever tried pedals into iPad? Bass > pedals > sonic port > iPad app ? Do they play nice or just mess it all up?
I've not, I'm going to try this soon though. Obviously boosts won't work well, unless of course you're leaving yourself loads of headroom, again this is something you Solid State guys will be more use to. I'm going to be doing some comparison clips of fuzz's into the ipad both virtual and real.
14. Yeah Android has been fundamentally flawed with audio due to a latency in it's architecture. I believe these are solved now but it's now 3 years behind the curve.
15.
They're far too light to use as anchors. Not too bad for chocking car wheels though.
So you won't be wanting this then http://wrenandcuff.com/site/the-stompboxes/the-hangman-2d/
16. It's an ongoing series but I've got some of my blog dedicated to my iOS setup Might be interesting for a few of you (not Shep, he doesn't care, I checked) http://www.tayste.co.uk/2014/02/24/the-ios-bassist-pt1-an-introduction/ http://www.tayste.co.uk/2014/02/25/the-ios-bassist-pt2-moving-forward/ http://www.tayste.co.uk/2014/02/27/the-ios-bassist-pt3-audiobus/
17. You didn't mention it glows blue :| Anyway people are only bagging on you to get the DI version so they can buy it off you when you get bored Very nice looking amp indeed.
18. Yep agreed, the new one is build to original grey specs so sounds amazing (so I'm told)
19. I'm rocking a selmer treble and bass 50 on an 8x10 and it's nothing but drive tones
20.
I've got one of the newer graphic SFTs, run off the Diago 18v adaptor. I do bloody love it for raging Ampeg/Timmy C tones, and it's so nicely touch-sensitive that I do leave it on 80% of the time. HOWEVER, I find it does not stack well with any of my dirt pedals apart from the Rat, bizarrely...Of course you'll be alright with this though! ;-)
Are you running it before or after other dirt when stacking?
21.
I wish someone would nick our guitarist's HM2. Bloody awful pedals.
I'll pay good money for a HM-2
