Flux FX Effects For Bass by Adrian Belew..........
tayste_2000 replied to paulmcnamara's topic in Effects
I've been using it since it was released, so far very impressed, it's my go to weird app. It's incredibly deep and incredibly simple at the same time. Hopefully I'll have a blog written about it before the end of the week -

Letting go of a few of my Mojohand pedals. Colossus Civil War/Russian Big muff with a twist, sounds amazing on bass but I've grown to love my Mojohand BMP-1 so no point having both, but this is a very versatile fuzz http://www.mojohandf.../colossus-fuzz/ From the website: ALL HAIL THE COLOSSUS!!! Unleashed on an unsuspecting public, the Colossus is THE be all end all Russian/Civil War Muff style fuzz. Ridiculously tweakable, insanely versatile, and packed with 10 tons of Colossal Mojo. Rich harmonic drenched chords, sweet singing leads, sludgy stoner goodness, filthy bluesy mcnasties, Pumpkin flavored raunch…you name it, it does it. It features a 3 way toggle for different EQ voicings, as well as a full range “Mids” control to help you cut through the mix in a live setting £100 Socrates Awesome Rat clone with better bass response. From the website The Socrates is the fruit of many, many months of intense research and development, countless revisions and numerous prototypes. The original premise was to take the classic LM308 style circuit and give it more modern appointments and features. While it’s name, art and sole LM308 chip are clearly nods to it’s classic furry counterpart, this is where the similarities end. Socrates surprisingly took on a life of it’s own midway into the R&D process and while certain characteristics remain from the original inspiration, the end result is much more. The Socrates features standard GAIN and LEVEL controls along with knobs for BASS and TREBLE (fueled by a passive tone stack), while a 2 way mini toggle offers symmetrical and asymmetrical clipping options. All of these features result in an extremely organic and natural sounding distortion with tremendous flexibility. The controls are EXTREMELY interactive yet very subtle, with the EQ offering up low key tone shaping while the toggle produces two similar yet distinct mid voicing options. Crank the gain and the Socrates literally BEGS for raging slabs of power chord fury while lower gain settings reveal surprisingly fat, punchy cleans with just the right amount of breakup. The real treat though is found in the less extreme settings…with a little tweaking of the GAIN and VOLUME knobs in conjunction with each other, you’d swear we crammed both Angus and Malcolm under the hood. All in all, the Socrates reacts to your attack in the most musical of ways, like the demented offspring of classic tube overdrive and vintage Plexi punch…a sound that you not only hear, but FEEL. Pick up a Socrates and commence to rocking today! One Ton Bee Now discontinued this is a very vintage and spluttery sounding fuzz, check out this clip of it on an mustang bass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9dpRn7YRLQ £80 No trades please, all pedals are like new and I believe I have the boxes for all of them. Prices include special delivery shipping (so bare this in mind when trying to hammer the price down)

No you can't do that but I thought you could just set the tuner to learn so maybe it could be activated from a PC instead of a CC

Sold my Overwater, panicked so bought a cheap 5 string as surely I need a 5 string, then remembered why I could finally let the Overwater go I have to say this bass blows my mind, it's not just good for the money it's plain good. I walked into a shop expecting to hate it and within 2 minutes had bought the thing. But this is how my cycle goes, I bought an 84 Fullerton P bass, loved it and I have to have more P basses all of a sudden I have 5 of the same thing in slight variations and it's pointless. I have a goal to relic my Ric and my Fender P through excessive playing and that won't happen if I keep buying more basses so it's on the chopping block Bass is in great condition, few marks here and there, nice medium to low action. Sounds exactly as a P bass should but with an extra low string. No gig bag I can post at buyers expense but as these don't come with a case I'd prefer collection. For more info http://www.fender.co...color-sunburst/ http://www.talkbass....ot-one.1011452/ No trades, thank you.

Here's my birthday bass, neck is a month to the day of my birth, body is 9 days out (which I figure is just the time to ship it to the UK in time for me). USA Fullerton Very tempted to add a bridge cover to it

This looks interesting http://discchord.com/blog/2014/10/28/mimix-audiobus-mixer-released.html I use Auria for that but I worry that Auria is pretty processor intensive and there are a hell of a lot of controls on it. The midi implementation looks cool too, I'll let you know if I get it and how I get on

I'm just about to drop a low gain preamp valve in it so I can get more travel/control in the gain knob. Thing is a monster
