  1. Cab is 8 ohm and dimensions are 42cm w x 47.5cm h (not inc feet) x 34.5cm d
  2. So you earn a nice wage, you own a truly vintage instrument but you don't gig, you just noodle at home, what amp is right for you? The ideal would be a 70's SVT with an 8x10 but it's way to loud, way to heavy and way to big The solution to this terrible dilemma is here! The rig features a specially modded Matamp Minimat and a custom Matamp 4x6 cab (1 of a kind) This is big rig sound but quieter, all the tone I've got out of my Matamp GT200 and 8x10 in something the wife doesn't find offensive (shocking I know) The minimat has a built in attenuator so you can crack it up for the distorted power valve sound and then just turn it down between the head and cab. Lets avoid the stupid questions of can you gig it, it's 4w, no you can't, maybe if you're doing a home jam session with an acoustic guitar but really this is what I call the Dr or Lawyer amp, something nice to have at home or in the office to noodle away because no one wants to plug a 4 grand instrument into a 25w squire bass combo Reason for sale, well I own the other thing that you should if you're in this situation a 70's Ampeg B-15 I'm after £450 for the rig as a whole, I'd rather not split but would sell the cab before the head if needs be so they will be priced at £325 for the head and £175 for the cab. No trades thank you.
  3. Really it's the B-15 which for a 70s model can be had around the £1500 mark but even then you're going to struggle to use it in a lot of places. You'd be better looking at high end di boxes, first always have a radial jdi or j48 then you want something like a gas cooker, avalon u5, reddi, td-100 (not that heavily accepted but one hell of a tone) or evil twin. Take it from someone who owns a b-15 and a custom 4w Matamp valve rig designed for recording my most used item is always the jdi. If you do still want an amp I may be parting with my 4w Matamp rig
  4. Erm well erm I didn't say that erm......
  5. Been thinking about it this week and as I move more and more towards my iPad for my less used fx I don't feel I need this. Pedal is in good condition but I don't have the box, it is also the older version with the metal lip. £80 no trades, price firm. Cheers
  6. Interested in a trade for any of these? http://basschat.co.uk/topic/216741-fender-nate-mendel-p-bass/page__fromsearch__1 http://basschat.co.uk/topic/216744-fender-pawn-shop-mustang/page__fromsearch__1 http://basschat.co.uk/topic/216743-tokai-hardpuncher-p-bass-1981/page__fromsearch__1 Cheers
  7. I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to make this, I moved last weekend and still got loads left to do at the old place.
  8. It comes in around 8.5lbs on my bathroom scales Nut width is 1 5/8ths
  9. And the worlds largest and best looking vibrator
  10. Well I'm moving to Macclesfield at the weekend if that shaves any distance off?
  11. Bought this a couple of months ago because I wanted a shortscale, in the mean time I've picked up a Hofner Verithin and having quite a cull. Great bass, very p bass like in tone, this is the one I most want to keep out of the 3 selling at the moment, lovely finish, racing stripes, string thru body just fantastic. No gig bag, collection preferred but will ship Price £500 no trades please
  12. Right having a fresh start, been gigging with my new bands, buying and selling lots trying to find what I need, apparently what I needed was my Matamp back and to just continue using the 2 basses that have seen me right for many years. This is a 1981 Tokai (lawsuit) Hardpuncher in a sorta Candy Apple Red but it's got a slight sparkle to it in the right light. Couple of dings on it but it's over 30 years old, definitely played in. Doesn't come with a gig bag and would prefer collection but will ship if needed. No trades Price £500 no trades please
  13. Got this in a trade a couple of months ago and I maintain it's the best p bass I've ever played, I've used it on a couple of gigs but since getting it I've not played my Overwater much and it seems silly that I want a bass for that zingyier rock sound and I'm not using the best bass I've ever owned for it just on the mind set of every bassist needs a P. Comes with a spare hipshot De-tuner currently not fitted but can be if you aren't confident with it. Also has all the fender bumf and the 2nd neck plate with the dual FF. It doesn't have the Foo Fighters gigbag but will come with a gigbag. Price £550 no trades please
  14. Thing is this 2x12 is so loud, well the GT200 is SO loud and the 2x12 can take it the 8x10 just isn't needed and I'm feel old I've not plugged into the 8x10 now for nearly a year, a lot of that was due to no amp head though.
  15. Yeah the new GT200 and 2x12 is really making me question the 8x10 and B-15 thinking of selling all of that and just having the Matamp, but god damn I love that B-15 for low level things.
