1. The b-15 can be pulled from my cold dead hands that said the Mesa would be nice
2. Ah no worries, I'm ok now anyway
3. Could always try my Matamp 8x10 I'm selling it's over at the factory, as for whether it fits your needs I don't know but it'll be the best 8x10 you ever try
4. Here's mine as it stands today, oddly similar to davedave
5. Afraid I'm not after any trades thanks
6. Well you know where to find me when the Mesa goes up for sale
7. Mine should be arriving later this week, it's sorta going to replace my DOD Meatbox
8. Look
Hi what is the string spacing at the bridge?
Looks like 17mm but I'm just measuring the space between strings, should I be including the string? I'm not sure how accurate I'm being sorry. EDIT Hopefully that helps?
9.
Hi there, Is this still available? Best S
Yep still available
10. Well it's the 30w 70's version so I'm hoping it can just about cut it, my new band are a lot quieter and we're just playing pubs and stuff, I've been able to cut practices with an 80's TNT 150 combo so should be fine. The Matamp 8x10 and DB750 is a bit over kill for these situations now I'm not fighting for space over 2 mega loud guitarists And yes I did look at the 65amps mmmmm shiny
11. Taking this into Matamp on Sunday as a commission sale if anyone wants to try it out, I'll let it sit there for a month or so before I change my mind.
12. Newer board sold, £45 one still available and in great condition.
13. I just bought standard long scale chromes, they went on it fine medium scale would have been better though
14. Had these a couple of years, I believe they came out of the Manchester club 24 hour party people, my band used them as a permanent fixture in our practice room but due to recent circumstances I have no use for these anymore. They are 1200w a piece I believe each cab is 4 ohms and made in the UK by a company whose name I forget at the moment but I believe the new price on them is They are big things, designed for a proper club installation but hey if you've got storage space they are amazing for band practices. I am willing to split and tbh these are worth it just for the speakers alone, absolute monsters. You can see the sofa sat ontop of them here the other side of the drum kit I can deliver these for the cost of fuel as well anywhere in the UK.
15. Bump, really need something to move so I can buy a new amp.
16. I did my first full gig with my Ric yesterday, I've owned it since 1999 and never been able to get a tone I liked till I strung it with Chromes, it's now my main bass
17. Not really but how much are you asking for it btw? I assume it's for sale?
18. SFT the only pedal I use more than my tuner
19. Well I'm not going for light just lighter currently an ampeg b-15
20.
Heheh .... I started buying small pedals and nano because of restricted room on stage .... now I have a full nano and a PT mini for the overflow of small pedals I can't get on the nano :/ I expect I'll take both to the Herts bass bash.
Yep in the space of two band practices decided the 2 nano's aren't working and I've bought a PT 1, oh and some more fx but the new board is going to be impressive ish
21. Sorry late night, both have bags I'm an idiot sorry
22. Changed my mind, 8x10 is up for sale too much rig for my current band and it's upsetting owning it (Soft I know but hey has knocked me sideways all this)
23. So I've used this twice now with the Aguilar DB750 I'm borrowing from a friend whilst my insurance claim gets processed for all my other Matamp stuff being stolen. Basically I've changed bands, this is too much amp for the band I'm in and I'm looking much much smaller (Ampeg B15 intact) and also if I'm honest every time I turn around I just think about all the beautiful stuff that was made at the same time that went with it, that I'll probably never see again. Cab is rated 2400w one of the early Matamp 8x10s I bought this in October 2008 and it's loaded with Eminence drivers (as far as I know), stainless steel front grills with laser cut holes resulting in more holes than grill (allowing more sound to pass through). Cab is stereo and has two speakon inputs on the back and a switch to change it from 4ohm to 2 x 8 ohm, the great thing about this feature other than running 2 heads on it to kill people is you can run vintage tube amps at 16ohms using the 2 8 ohms in parallel. Cab is finished in red tolex with stainless silver hardware, and will also come with a Roqsolid cover though this is pretty scuffed and ripped up. There are a few marks in the tolex here and there but no major rips. I've toured a lot and used a lot of 8x10's this is by far the best I've ever had, it's huge, punchy, tight and just so much low end and volume there is nothing this cab can't do. To those worried about weight, this thing is so easy to move it kicks back and you just drag it around with 1 hand, if you do have to go up stairs it has handles on the bottom of it so unlike the usual up by your chin whilst the other person has it down by their ankles of moving a 4x10 up stairs it sits comfortably at waist height for both people (if that makes sense) Various pics So help me out, I'm gigging at the moment and borrowing and renting amps I need something of my own and can't wait around for the insurance company to maybe give me some of my amp money back. For those after something a bit smaller I could be tempted to part with my 2x12 (cheap) Cheers guys
