1.
PS, The LS-2 is awesome. It's the pedal world's Swiss Army Knife. Although beware. Your setup will end up getting a whole lot more complicated!
But in a good way, this is how so many of those classic fx sounds have been achieved, really though the ultimate system is an LS-2 with 2 signal chains in parallel all in the loop of an X-Blender, that is the ultimate in usable bass fx, isn't that right Higgie. I would look at getting a preamp in the Jazz over using an external preamp but that's just me, I went down that road and it was annoying to always have to take the entire board with me to get my tone.
2.
I had my Mu-Tron re-calibrated by L-Sound in the states and that helps to avoid some of the problems with tone sucking as it is now true bypass and works fine for live use. Only just got the Sadowsky so no chance of that going anywhere and the Serrano came from you originally if you remember?
Higgie had the same done to his Mutron. What amp do you have? Personally I'd ditch the Sadowsky Pre-amp & EBS Multi-Comp, the Serrano is the tiny boost from Catalinbread so it's hardly taking up room, you could look at getting a Octavius Squeezer to replace the 00Funk and Brown Dog. You do have a lot of filters, would look at ditching a few and just having 2 and something like an LS-2 to run them in parallel to get those really wet sounds that no single filter can do on it's own.
3. The effects that lose low end are the models of fx that lose low end so it's fairly true to form.
4. TBH I might sell my soft case on it's own as the board never leaves the house and it's only on it to make my music room look tidy. How much are you looking to pay for one? Cheers
5. They use to sell the hardcases separately on special request
6. Withdrawn due to it being cheaper online than I could let this go for. But if you want one. http://www.normans.co.uk/p-1627-rocket-by-...ose-throne.aspx Yes bit gutted I paid £60 for one.
7. If you use the tube comp, facial fuzz and sub octave fuzz there should be plenty of low end on that thing.
8.
Which drivers are in the cab? Neo or Ferrite?
Sorry man missed this. Ferrite, and ported cab it's a very aggressive sound not for everyone and the weight is insane the standard Neo sealed model is a bit more middle of the road good for everything if you get me, not quite as loud, much smoother and actually liftable as a single person This cab in the right place in a venue (ie a corner) will get as loud as my 8x10 and sound a bit rattier doing it I would personally recommend the neo version over mine, mainly due to weight and the fact there is a constant aggressiveness in my cab that can't be dialled out, which is perfect for me but won't be for most. Hope this helps
9. It is on and off, so off is channel 1 and on is channel 2 You could change this for a 2 colour led if you want but then it's not pink
10. I have a Stagg Flying V I'd trade you for this it's awesome, orange with checkered racing stripes and even has some exhausts on it, don't worry about you having to make up the difference from the amp we're mates I'll let it slide. Edit for picture
11. Very much so, this is going to the tip this week if no one wants it
12. I just picked up a one of a kind Matamp 4x6 yesterday, bought it for home practice and potentially studio work. It still amazes me that no matter what Matamp gear I plug into my tone is always there even on something as small as this cab. I can get crappy mobile phone pics tonight if anyone wants. Cheers
