1.
Any chance of a courier quote and pics if possible please? I'm interested, but I'm down in Devon so Manchester's a bit of a stretch!
I'm in Manchester and going down to Devon on the 29th till the 31st I wouldn't mind helping you out if you wanted it. Cheers
2. Have you ordered yet? What custom options did you go for?
3. Also going back through this thread, I played the Red JP pictured but all the other basses were very different from what was shown here.
4. I wanted to bump this thread because I got to play these yesterday at Bass Day. Well I actually got to play the PJ Jazz bass and man with the pricing point these things are incredible, the fit and finish is great, it was red with a light sparkle and matching headstock which is always a winner for me. I actually didn't try the others, as I didn't try out other Overwater basses as I've just bought my 4th and thought I can't afford another so I stayed away and i actually thought for most of the day that some of the Aspiration series were Perceptions because the finish was so good. Once they were pointed out to me I could see the difference in the body shape, but they are seriously nice looking basses. I am most certainly picking up the PJ bass up when they are released as they are easily as good as any jap fender I've played. The other aspirations I may very well pickup a 6 string or something in a fretless depending on how I feel but I was so surprised when I played them they do not feel or sound like their price bracket.
5. Yea I can do that I'll get a shipping quote tomorrow for you. Cheers
6. Mention my name and that you found them via basschat and they'll be far more willing to cut you a deal and discount
7.
i went to that stand to look at the green matamp, i got a wierd look, didnt know if it was because someone recognized me from my avatar (i made it to resemble me) or whether you were worried i was gonna steal something
There is never a concern that someone is going to "Run Off" with a Matamp
8. Oh as someone whose 6ft 1 did anyone else except me feel really short at this years event?
9. I'm just glad I got to hang out with Dave Swift, got my new Overwater bass and had a good chat with various Basschatters and bass playing friends from around town. It was quieter this year both, people and volume but at the same time I've found it's a very bad time to be selling equipment both on the forum and ebay so I didn't hold out much luck at Bassday. I again didn't catch any of the seminars as I was bassed out by about 1pm but stayed all the way through and had a good chat with Billy Sheehan as well. Overall a good day not sure I'll go again next year, but as stated it such a good opportunity to hang out with some great people I know and respect.
10. Bump, great to mee everyone who came to Bass Day to try it out. This offer has now expired and the cabs are now £650 I'll be getting mine in about 2 weeks, bring on the 18x10
11.
Ok, It's been doing my head in lying on its side like that. Here it is the right way up
12.
Forget all this "does it come in 4-Ohm" nonsense ... does it come in a 20Kg version?
No nor do they come in pink
13. FYI these are really collection only but I'm going to Devon on the 29th if anyone wants to meet near Bristol to get one off me, I've already got one on order like this. Cheers
14.
I am aware of that, but I wouldnt be able to run the Barefaced at the same time!
Whats the impedance of the barefaced 4? You could get the 8 ohm version an be fine running it on the 2ohm tap at 2.67 ohms I did it with my mesa for ages
15.
Im sure Bergs 6x10 is 4 ohms? Much more money though!
Not really a true 4ohm cab think it's like 3.67ohms
16.
Looks great but I think I'll change that grill. Not sure about it, there looks to be more metal than holes, how much of the sound is it going to restrict ?
I have the same grill on my 4x10 and 8x10 and there is far less metal in it than say a standard grill with small holes
17. They can be posted for an additional cost. I don't have pictures I will on Saturday but I won't post them till after Bassday or early morning of the day if I get time as after that it stops being a sale item it's very much a Basschat Bassday deal
18. Also forgot to mention it the speakers have a 3inch voice coil, tbh I'm not sure what that means but I'm sure someone will appreciate the info.
19.
I hope you don't mind me pointing it out like but I think your w: "34 1/4" should read *24 1/4"* Anyway it's too big for me! Sweet though Bargain or what!
Well done Sir you are correct 6 x 10 is never really going to be all that small though is it
20. Calling Happyjack, Happyjack to the forum please
21.
Pah! I laugh in the face of your puny 2400W. Do Matamp seriously expect me to play The Dog & Duck with a mere 6x10?
You could buy 6 of them, I'll get you a deal
