1. Ah well I'm sure I'll acquire one, one way or another
2. I am a die hard SFT fan and they mix so well with Matamps its a simple choice for me
3. I really can't say............................... yet. I'm going down in a week or 2 and should be able to tell everyone then once I've been able to make sure it works as it should and sounds like a Matamp should.
4. We can't we are sworn to secrecy
5. You just let me know when you want to sell that Matamp Slave to pay for all this work
6. Yeah it's nice when you also have a matching 8x10, 4x10 and GT200 all in the same colour to match the above. Though they don't have anymore of it so I'm having to pick another red for all my future stuff.
7.
DB112s heavily scooped?! I know the GS might have a scoop, but the DB series is mid-central! Looking good btw. What are the normal 'aesthetics' of the stock Matamp 2x12 cabinets?
Ah sorry my confusion I was thinking of the GS range Here's my 2x12 FYI that's RED not PINK
8.
As there was some interest in 112's thought i'd post pics of my new ones picked up from Jeff yesterday, These were a custom order as they don't do a 112 bass cab as standard. I based the dimensions on the aguilar DB112, these are 8ohm sealed cabs with a 400 watt neo speakers identical to the ones in my 212, has metal carry handles at the side. really pleased with the result as usual given them a qick blast at low volume will give them a proper run out at weekend, for info price was £280 each
Lovely, I assume they aren't heavily scooped like the aggies are? I'm tempted by that 1x12 in the for sale section but I have another Matamp purchase on the horizon. make sure you post them in the Matamp Porn thread
9. Ah I don't have what you'd want. Though if you wanted a 400w valve power amp I'd take the Dynacord, some pedals and some money
10. Trades?
11. Anyone who wants to hear these is welcome to shoot me a PM I've got the 8x10, ported 4x10 and 2x12 and of course the GT200 I mean I'm only 25miles from the factory but I gig a lot and can always bring one of these if I'm gigging nearby for you to hear.
12.
mine was 450 ;<
Yeah but that was a while ago and the diagonal is a lot cheaper than the vertical monstrosity
13.
what kind of volume does the neo 2x12 put out? is it up there with the barefaced super 12, or your average 4x10?
I'd say louder than your average 4x10 it slayed the barefaced compact when I a/b'ed them I normally gig with an 8x10 but I did an entire tour mostly without PA support with the 2x12 and it handled all my gigs fine.
14. I wanna say around 900 but might be 750 I can't recall since they are essentially custom order also depends which version you go for. Tbh it's the only Matamp cab that hasn't slated me, don't get me wrong I nearly bought 2 until I tried the first 8x10 and ported 4x10. I'd ring Jeff for a quote since I'm half guessing
15. Yep call 0845 644 4606 and speak to Jeff tell him Steve Taylor sent you and he'll sort you right out, he's probably still at the factory now
16. Right I've just called the factory and the price on these cabs are: £439 with the standard Neo Speakers (that I have and love) £539 with Eminence Deltas (weighs a ton but slightly better low end and a smoother sound)
17. Ignore that just read the fx list, if there are accurate models this will do a lot for me
18. Colour me interested, only downside is it's digitech fx though 10 bass synth wahs in a row would be fun
19. Bought a PT Mini off him, great guy to deal with, came as described couldn't be happier. Cheers
20. TBH I've not messed with it much but Garageband and Amplitube but you'll need an adaptor as well. I personally like Amplitube the most as a bass practice tool as the Ampeg sim is a really nice tone.
21. Cheers man, I should really get a baby quasar again or a quasar deluxe since I can see where it would go if I dropped the Chili boost off the board and move the noise box to it's place. I've got another picture with this all wired up and my Kimbara wah, I should really send it you to try it so cool probably not your thing due to the subtley well that and that fact the switch is near knackered on it. I just need to find a way to directly upload my recordings from the Ipad onto the web and then I'll get into full on soundclip mode again.
22. I am a fan, more of the concept than the music but I've not been able to get any albums to really dive in. I first got introduced to him in the John Mayer - In Repair documentary
23. My studio / home / jamming board/s
24. I'll take them, are they all in good condition etc? no scratches, play fine etc etc Let me know and I'll paypal straight away.
